Bangladesh is a small country in its land area, but it is 8th according to the population. Being small, it is a beautiful country because of the fertile lands and a lot of rivers with warm weather. The most important factor is that 100% of its land is easily accessible, so exploring the beauty of the country is much easier and cheaper in a poorly developed country. The country is full of evergreen forest areas, hundreds of rivers, and thousands of canals all over the plain land of the country. It is also true that the most densely populated city of Dhaka, which is the capital of Bangladesh, can offer relatively less beautiful locations than most of the developed or parallel countries in the world as Dhaka is facing trouble in facilitating enough living space as necessary for a healthy lifestyle.
The few tourist attractions that Dhaka city offers are very beautiful and properly arranged, and most of them are easily accessible within a very short time as these locations are not so far from the city. I have visited all of these places as I have lived several years in Dhaka City for my study purposes. One of the best natural scenic areas of Dhaka city is the National Zoo and Botanical Garden, both located just side by side. Today, I am going to show you a glimpse of the zoo with a limited number of animals that I have seen in the zoo that time that I loved.
The most available collections of the zoo are brought to our country from Africa and some other countries. The most abundant native collection in our country is the Royal Bengal Tiger and the Deer. Both of them are from the Mangrove forest 'Sundarban' located in the southern side of the country, of which 60% belongs to Bangladesh and 40% belongs to India. But most of the tigers and deer are from the Bangladeshi region as our government has made the area a wildlife-protected area.
We also have some elephants and pythons in the hill tracts area of the South-East region of Bangladesh like the Chattogram, Bandorban, Khagrachari, and Rangamati districts which are completely an area with hill tracts, and there are a lot of wild animals, and we also have some protected area in this region also. Besides we have some safari parks in this area where tourists can explore the live wild animals.
Animals like zebras, giraffes, and lions are brought to our country from Africa. I love to visit these large animals, but there is a large collection of birds. They are confined in cages, and from outside, it is very difficult to find them. Besides these, there are more animals like hyenas and different kinds of mammals that I can't remember the names of. Being an underdeveloped country, our zoo is much more diverse in its collection of animals. However, we don't have the animals from the frozen world as they can't live in this warm weather of the country.
The whole area is a large area, and it can take half of your day to complete the tour as it is very tiring to walk in the hot weather for most of the time of the year. There is a big lake where often fishing competition is arranged, but you have to find that day from the prior announcement.
It was a great day to visit the zoo to explore so many kinds of animals that are from different parts of the country and from other parts of the world. It can be a well-deserved visit to Bangladesh if you want to spend quality time in nature with these wild animals.
