Welcome to my another blog on mountain hiking in the northern region of Beijing.
As I said in my last blog, the enormous reservoir is located in the northern district of the Beijing Municipality, which is the city of Miyun. Besides, the vast lake-size reservoir, the district is adorned with hundreds of mountains surrounding the lake and most of the northern region. And so, I want to keep going exploring these natural gems as a nature lover.
This time I found a series of mountain peaks to trek, and this route led me to some of the best views of nature this blog is about that experience which also takes you to dive into nature. I have visited the Yunmeng Mountain which is a mountains scenic spot located on the western edge of the huge lake. A full day excursion to the breathtaking mountain is an experience of a lifetime that will make you more closer to the nature and lead you very close to the nature. Taking a day trip from Huairou to hike in the beautiful Yunmeng Mountains can be a great day to spend the day in the best way that you can in the lap of nature.
Since I live in Beijing's Huairou district, I'm so lucky to be surrounded by beautiful natural gems near me in both in the district and the adjacent district like the Miyun. As I have already visited the top tourist spots of Huairou district. So, I want to go on an adventure a little further away from my living district and went to the Miyun District, which is around 40 kilometers away. The Yunmeng Mountains were my goal as it is located beside the Miyun Reservoir which is already a great natural beauty to explore. This is a famous beautiful area that has been given the prestigious "AAAA" grade by China's tourist system, which means it is a top-notch spot have a travel.
For walkers and mountain climbers, the Yunmeng Mountains scenic spot is not less than a heaven if he loves nature. It is also a challenging and difficult hiking ropute with the goal of reaching the top of the mountains to have the great landscape from the top. These aren't usually green during the long winter and remain cover with snow, but with the end of winter and starting od spring and summer they become very beautiful. The Yunmeng scenery is rough and dramatic, with a beauty that comes from rocks. The hike trail went along a stream that came down from the top of a mountain. Though the sound of the water was not so hard as the water level was very low but it made the trip more enjoyable.
I saw many children were so exciting to catch tiny fishes in the stream water here and there with smaller nets. One of my colleague tried but in vain, it needs very tough patient. It wasn't easy to climb the mountains for me coming from plain land. But I love it to sooth my eyes from the mountain top. The climb was very hard because the ground was uneven and rocky, and there were constructed stairs in most of the part that will make the journey more comfortable. But the view around me got more and more amazing as I walked deeper into the area. The lower hills were covered in lush grass, which looked stunning next to the yellowish, rocky peaks that ruled the higher areas.
Even though it was hard on my body as I gained some weight in the last winter, I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful scenery surrounding me. The weather was so nice to me over the weekend, and the skies were clear as glass all day that make the blue color more stunning with the mountains views. As far as the eye could see, mountain ranges seemed to disappear into the distance, leaving behind amazing views. The air was clean and crisp, and I could see for a hundred miles very clearly. The view from above the mountains ranges were breath-taking and make my soothing.
When we reached the top of the smaller peaks one by one, the achievement was just coming closer to us. The unmatched attractive natural views and the sense of success made me to do hard work throughout the way. From some points, I could see miles in some direction and take in how big and beautiful the Yunmeng Mountains were. Also, the stones and the rocky surface of these mountains were so attractive and the views are satifying every steps you put forward.
I took a moment to enjoy the view and catch my breath due to climbing some steep stairs. It was a little easier going down. I saw several waterfalls on the way though these are not so high and very little water was falling down. But The last water fall (which will be in the next blog discussion) was one of the beat that I have ever explored. I have taken rest in a periodical manner so that I could enjoy the little things about the scenery.
The Yunmeng Mountains range is beautiful because of the flowing stream that ran slowly but make a different vive. The bright wildflowers and some grasses and trees that poked through the rocks, and the strong small trees that clung to the hills are so green to make you feel with fresh oxygen always. The Yunmeng Mountains gave me a chance to get back to nature and see its raw beauty, which was both hard and satisfying. This day trip from Huairou will be remembered for a long time.
If you have any chance to visit the Beijing and have a chance to visit the northern area then this Yunmeng mountains range is a geat place if you love nature and mountain hiking. I am giving some tips about going on a hike in the Yunmeng Mountains according to my experience.
Do some research on the season for best views, your health fitness and the time of the hiking which will make it more enjoyable. Bring a lot of water and liquid energy drinks and snacks though I feel liquids are more necessary than snacks, and make sure your climbing boots are strong and have good hip support.
In the mountains, the weather can change quickly, so bring and wear proper clothes in the basis of the season you visit. Do not forget to bring a hat, and sunscreen that will help you from some damage from the sun.
It is not allowed to fire on the mountains, so don't keep lighter during the trip. Please be kind to the environment by taking all of your trash with you and not upsetting the natural ecosystem.
The Yunmeng Mountains are a great place to get away from the busy city life. This natural wonder is worth seeing whether you're an experienced hiker or just want to take a day trip to see some beautiful scenery.
There is a 30 m cave route where I am ending the today's blog and the real views and the undiscovered beauty starts from this level as we climbed to another height from the next part of the tour.
