Well Hello There Fellow Adventure Seekers!

Searle Memorial Church!

The church I've been meaning to take photos of for almost three years! I don't know why but I've been excited to write up about this one for quite some time now and in truth I also don't know why? How much is there that can be said about a church? I don't mean this in a disrespectfull way at all (I am Christian by the way so it has nothing to do with religion at all) My point is that it is just a building and there's not a lot to say about mortar and bricks! BUT this is a beautifull building and a Holy site!

None the less! I am glad that I finally made the choice to stop there... Actually I only made the stop now because I was driving past there with my own vehicle and I wasn't pickling along with other people.
Being a burden just isn't for me so I always kept quiet and sucked in the fascination from a distance!

Not anymore!

A Beautifull place indeed!

The mural wall they have there... And one thing that stood out for me which you can't see is the "Stained Glass" because they have it covered up with "shields" now that is both sad and understandable in the same sentence right?

We get a lot of storms and especially so in this part of the country... it's more a tropical biome than anything else so them covering up the windows is probably the best idea ever!
You don't want a hail storm knocking out the windows and then what? Then you're left with a great sack of nothing!

A Nice Little Yard!

We spent quite a lot of time there... It was supposed to be a quick in and out because I didn't want to attract a whole lot of attention but the moment we pulled in a lady came walking out of the reception offices... (weird that they have that at a church) Although she didn't mind us at all, I did then ask her if we can take some photos and stuff and she said we can stay as long as we wanted.

So we made good use of the time we were given... why rush everything in life and especially so on a vacation break away!

Authentique!

That's the thing that really gives me the goosebumps with these old buildings and churches and mostly churches... They have these wood doors! Given these are smaller than most but it's a small church ey.

But having these old wood doors with the metal handles, that is something beautifull ey! Something I will never get over...

A little of topic topic... we moved some furniture for a lady today and she gave away a lot of stuff... the only thing I saw out of everything is the wood stuff and I don't mean press wood... Ah it's a beauty!

Treaded Around The Gardens!

It felt wrong and like we were trespassing and stuff but treading around the garden was a real joy and the thing about the nice garden is that it made for the best photos around!

Maybe it wasn't the garden and more the camera of the phone I used... Not sure but dang the sun in this one looks beautifull doesn't it?

The Majesticness Of It All!

I've shared this picture on Hive before but since I wrote about it now I had to add it again!

But I have to boast a little about this photo... I think this might be one of the most beautifull photos I have ever taken... I know that's just me speaking and some people might disagree but heck I can't stop staring at this photo!

Both the wide angle and the normal angle... I can't decide on which one I like more!

The Ponderous Tree!

Well this is just a tree that is well taken care of but if I had any choice and if it was possible I won't my having such a tree in my own yard someday!

Imagine the possibilities of it! You can make an entire chilling spot right underneath it! You can make a braaing area underneath it heck there is so much to be done with it!
One thing I would absolutely love is to have a nice long sit down with a cold beer and a good book underneath it! Oh I think life would feel complete for me then! I'll have to have "The Betty" next to my side with that of-course! But that's something that doesn't even need to be mentioned, I rarely go any place without her!

If she doesn't pickle along it's not really the same anymore!
Notice how it's growing a little sideways?

Just A Bunch Of Extra's!

I hope you can enjoy the views as much as I did on that day! Heck seeing the photos now really pulls me back!

It is a lovely photo indeed @technicalside. I love the arched entrance with the wooden door, pretty cool mural as well!
Pity about the stained glass windows, but it sure is better than having them destroyed!

It was a lovely visit... nothing fancy... they didn't have a restuarant or anything.. understandable because it is a church but I do wonder if they actually still use it? It does look like it but also not. Odd I know.

The mural was beautifull and back on the stained glass, I'd rather keep it fixed. Not sure how many people actually still do that in South Africa?
