The weekend here in the Porto area was sunny, and as the weather couldn't be missing, I went to visit Vila do Conde, which is very close to where I live.
The city is charming and has a lot of history when passing through the river ave something caught my attention several boats on the river, I was more curious I got closer and sat on the bank and witnessed that it was an event about kayaks with young people, there were several flying boats that followed the championship that was held there.
It was the first time I had seen it and the weather invited me to sit there and enjoy the view over the river and what was happening in between.
By strategically positioning myself on a garden bench, I was able to see the river in all its extension and see the young people reaching its end. The kayaks, carefully designed to glide over water, produced by a Portuguese company called "nelo kayak", winners of several awards
in modality.
There were some excited people, I think part of them were parents
the way they were excited about the young people
rowers
Ahead came the starting sound of oarsmen as they moved deftly and swiftly across the surface of the river. The participants rowed vigorously, enjoying the strength of the currents and the gentle breeze that caressed their faces. Kayaks cut elegantly through the water, leaving a trail of glittering foam in their wake.
And this was my afternoon well spent in Rio Ave, I hope you like it thanks for reading
