Walk along the green lake -Azores 🏕⛰

in #hive-16377221 days ago

Why are the Azores so fascinating!? 🏕⛰
The question has a simple answer!!
Nature and calm.
We often need to reconnect with our roots and discover who we really are, this connection makes us feel free.
Freedom is the best feeling we can have, not having the obligation to “go to work” or think about how to “do the math to know if the money will arrive at the end of the month”
For brief moments we forget everything and are “ourselves”.
No filters, no stress, no rush.
The Azores did a little of that for me, reconnecting me with mother nature.
Stunning landscapes, no cars or tall city buildings. Where nature predominates over everything and everyone and the immensity of the green contrasts with the little humanization that can appear in the place.
We could say that the Azores are an airport, a small city and “happy cows” is how the image of the island is conveyed

The walk continues, almost 3/4 kilometers have passed since the “civilization” road, with only this place well guarded by vegetation and a trail that is not very wide but where it is possible to pass on foot, where the trees and flowers begin to grow. to arrive. very close to us or us to them

It was already lunch time and the sky didn't show any openness, but luckily mine didn't rain either, on the one hand it was good that the sky wasn't open so it wasn't so hot either and it made walking more pleasant.
As I walked, I started to pay more attention to details and things that stood out or stood out in the landscape, with camera in hand, and I started trying to capture the best photographs (remembering that they are not edited in any way, nor I'm professional)

The Azorean soil is very fertile due to the mild but humid climate, green can be seen everywhere, whether in the fields or in the flowers, I thought it was curious that my mother had hydrangeas at home, but here they existed everywhere, even on the sides of the river or the streets.

The trees are a little different from the usual pine trees that exist in my area, they don't have such a thick bark and they have branches starting from the middle, which here a normal pine tree only has at the ends and very high.
IMG_0358.JPG
Flowers in “pitchers” exist everywhere, but it shouldn't be time to see the flower, so you won't be able to see any, being part of the vast vegetation

It is curious to have seen this plant in what was clearly not its habitat, but its appearance says that it is adapting perfectly to the muddy area of the lake, even with its vegetation, it not only survives, but also stands out. the entire habitat.

the mossy roots as if the trees came out of a soft green cushion, thus covering a large part of the foot, accompanied by small flowers that try to sprout in the little earth there is.

The view is a little blurry, from the photo, but you can get an exact idea of the place, with trees and other plants climbing over huge trees next to the lake.
IMG_0365.JPG
Cork oaks and oaks with moss glued even to their branches, prevent the brownish color of the branches from showing, thus making the entire environment greener and with a healthier appearance in the place.

The general view of the surrounding steep mountains makes for a more colorful and imposing environment, making it the perfect place to relax.

We were in the green part of the lagoon of the 7 cities, and this is without a doubt one of the places you shouldn't miss on your visit.
Well, I hope to see you here tomorrow, or who knows if we'll see you there, on one of my adventures.
