My morning started of with a text message from a friend asking me if I would like to join her and a couple other friends of ours for breakfast at Kamala Beach a lovely white sandy beach on the coastline of the Andaman Sea, it was a beautiful sunny morning out there how could I refuse the company and a bit of vitamin sea, so down the road to my friend's motorbike hire shop paid him my usual $5 US (150 Baht) rental fee for the day and rode of towards Kamala Beach to meet with my friends for breakfast on the beach.
The ride to Kamala Beach was about 30 minutes from my place, a pleasant ride on another beautiful sunny morning on the Honda Click, reaching this amazing part of Phuket island we all sat by the front of the beach in this little Kamala Beach bamboo breakfast hut and put our orders in, I decided to have something different to the usual English or American breakfast my choice of breakfast was scrambled eggs with squid and calamari done in mild curry paste with herbs my dish cost me $5.50 US (180 Baht) a super power breakfast it was going to be a long adventurous day swimming, hiking over the beach rocks and a row on the Kin Dee Lake boats later for lunch.

After we all had a healthy energizing breakfast we took to the coastline climbing over rocks and through parts of a forest heading over to the other side were apparently there was another beautiful white sandy beach we did this so we could burn of a few calories and digest our breakfast before jumping into that blue crystal sea.
It was like a 30 minute hike across to the other side from Kamala beach, but it was a tough one trying to keep our balance climbing up and down those big rocks and boulders along the coastline, reaching this other beach which didn't I didn't get the name I think it was Kamala beach 2, anyways it was a amazing fresh swim in that beach and then we headed back across to Kamala beach in order to jump on our motorbikes and head over to the Kin Dee Lake for lunch on the rowing boats, wasn't sure what to expect there but it sounded interesting.
Kin Dee Lake was just a short ride over the other side of the main road across from Kamala beach just out of Kamala town about a 20 minute ride from Kamala beach, I could see this huge lake from the main road as we were approaching coming over the hill and then across this long bridge built across the lake on our motorbikes it looked like just a big lost sea in the middle of no where never seen such a big lake and so calm.
This was going to be interesting to row along this huge lake but we were not going to be doing the rowing and that was the surprising part that my friends had not told me apparently the deal here was you could eat in the little bamboo huts around the lake enjoying the peacefulness and refreshing views of the lake or you could order your lunch and eat on the lake as you were been rowed around the lake by a Oarsman this reminded me of Venice in Italy and by now I was getting all excited because this was certainly going to be a different experience for me.

So the deal was that we could be rowed around the lake for a couple of hours while having lunch on this row boat enjoying the tranquility and calmness of the lake with it's beautiful natural beauty surrounding us and that was our decision of course to be spoiled as if we were in Venice, Italy on a romantic date.
There were several lunch packs you could choose from, mainly a mix of entrees, snacks like sweet rice with cashew nuts wrapped in banana leaves nothing hot all cold tasty snacks and what ever fruits you liked to wash the snacks down we got a couple of pineapples, grapes, mangoes some beer and water and we were ready to row out and enjoy the moments.
After settling with what we were going to have for lunch on the row boat and paying our bill which cost us $15 US (500 Baht) per/person and that was cheap for this exciting adventure I was about to experience, we then made our way down this wooden pier to where our row boat and our Oarsman would be waiting for us. On arriving at the end of the pier our row boat had been romantically set like a candle light dinner this was so neat and different only in Thailand can these ideas eventuate and be charming and profitable easy no real expense business to run.

And here we were on this beautiful calm lake been rowed around by this gentle Oarsman enjoying a beer and some snacks on this beautiful sunny blue sky day with some awesome friends and no hurry to be anywhere else, this was really amazing to be having a experience like this and the lake wasn't crowded the people living around this lake in there little simple wooden houses are so lucky to be waking up to this every morning and taking advantage of all the free freshwater fish in this lake what a nice peaceful life for them living around this lake.

After enjoying a lovely lunch and a pleasant 2 hour row around the lake we were back on soil and wondered around the lake grounds admiring the seasonal flowers around the lake stretching our legs before jumping back on our motorbikes for our ride home, it has certainly been another great experience and adventurous day for me in Thailand, one I can write home about to my mum and would certainly offer to take any of my willing friends out there if and when they visit me in Thailand.

And just like that another amazing, enjoyable day of my life in Thailand was over and sure there will be many more to follow.
