How can I forget one of the Lifetime memories I have ever had in my life. Maybe because I didn't take photos then because I was younger and didn't have a phone. I love traveling and catching some views but unfortunately, I can't remember the last time I journeyed out of my state.
It has been 4 years since I Visited Lagos Last and ever since I have been stuck in my hometown.
Let's just say it's the funds to travel and my family isn't just that one that travels that much, but part of my bucket list in life will be to travel to nice places.
I was privileged to join this excursion team from my high to this interesting wonder of the world in 2016 It's still located in the southern part of Nigeria, Cross river.I would actually think that this journey would not be that Far, but it was really really Far. Calabar is nearer to my region as you could take a boat or bus . Using a boat, you might spend an hour or less but with a bus, you'll spend a few Hours on the road due to Bad roads.
Obudu Mountain resort is a world wonder encrafted by God and placed in the cross river state. Obudu is in the Northern part of cross river state and it takes about 4-6 hours to land Obudu from Calabar.
It has become a world tourist center because of the beautiful features in it. Created by God, managed and maintained by God, Obudu has really grown into a masterpiece in the past few years. We were extremely exhausted by the long distances we had to cover just to get there and definitely we had to sleep. The environment was so welcoming and felt like winter in the nights and early morning hours because of the level of cold there. The nights are calm and the sound of nature and it's creatures serenade the whole environment.
So we were only able to hang around the venue for a day, so we made sure that we touched all the possible sights before the day ran out. Part of the sights we viewed includes the dam, the waterfall, the hiking trail, cable car and the natural reserves. Everything about Obudu Cattle ranch is just natural. Imagine viewing nature from a mountain top, or from a cable car, relaxing at the beautiful and magical waterfall, the horse ride and everything about this place is good.
Part of my plans next year is to revisit this place. This time around,I would go as an adult and I'll be able to make a concrete and more detailed analysis on the resort. I’d also like to spend a few more days on this plateau, enjoying the wildlife and nature itself.
