After exploring the city of Gramado a little, today the post is about wines! We are going to Vale dos Vinhedos, which is a region famous for its wines.
As I love wine, I couldn't miss visiting the region's wineries.
They are very close to Gramado and it is a great trip even for those who don't like wine, you will certainly have fun seeing the farms, landscapes along the way and the stories of the region and wine production.
I was looking forward to the tastings, as I had countless recommendations from those who had already done it, apparently it's one of those tours that you can always repeat.
After that hotel breakfast, when we left the hotel we could already see that the weather had changed and the sun was shining and warm. Wonderful day!
I noticed a part that I hadn't explored yet, and I found some ducks having fun in a waterfall.

Vale dos Vinhedos
On the way to the wineries, stop at a viewpoint, which has a very beautiful view of the Gaucho mountains.
What would have been a quick stop ended up taking longer, as the peace and tranquility of the place invites us to grab a coffee in one of the restaurants.
For those who like shopping, this viewpoint also offers some clothing stores with several options to keep warm in the cold of the mountains!
All this in a building that resembles a castle.
But it's time to move on, as we have tastings scheduled at 3 wineries:

- Lidio Carraro
- Almaúnica
Almaúnica
Almaúnica is a winery located among green hills and its name was created due to the search for uniqueness and authenticity in the production of wines.
Upon arrival, an entrance surrounded by pine trees and vineyards leads to the entrance of the main house, a house with modern architecture with exposed brick and glass.
With a deck for wine tasting, where lunch is also served overlooking the vineyards.
Wine production is artisanal. The grapes are harvested by hand, and fermentation takes place in oak tanks. The wines are aged with patience and the result is wines with complex flavors.

As I was just starting out, I chose not to do the full tasting.
I started with sparkling white wine, then a sparkling rose and then red wine, I chose to try wine from one of the grapes I like most, Syrah, a very full-bodied wine.

The experience was intimate and memorable, as there weren't many people besides our group doing the tasting at the same time.
We sat on the deck enjoying the view of the valley.

Lidio Carraro
Lidio Carraro is a family winery, founded by Lidio and his daughter who are passionate about preserving tradition and the land.
The reception was excellent, where they told everything about the winery's tradition and how it merges with modernity. They use ancestral techniques, but also invest in research and technology, studying and visiting wineries in other countries to learn techniques and bring them home.
We walked around the facilities, office and the charm of the place is impressive, everything is very well planned and decorated.

After learning about the history, time to go for the tasting. This time we chose the full tasting and went to a private room, completely surrounded by glass and overlooking the plantations.
With each wine, water and snacks to accompany, all with a complete explanation of the wine, which transforms the experience even further. There's nothing like knowing the history and preparation method of the wine you're tasting.
After trying their classic line, it was time to move on to the Reserva ones. One didn't even have a label, but I can say it was chosen for me. Very full-bodied with intense flavors and striking tannins.

The purity of these wines certainly reflects their commitment to quality.
I remembered that I had the Vivino app installed and started using it to make my evaluations and remember the wines I tried. Here's my list:
Cave de Pedra
Cave de Pedra is unique, a stone castle, with cellars underground inside natural caves, which creates a cool environment for wine maturation.
I liked all the wines, they are robust and full-bodied, and I chose to do the full tasting, as these wines are harder to find in stores in São Paulo, a great time to try them all.
My favorite was the Sangiovese, which was very striking. But Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot represented it too. It’s difficult to choose just one, how about taking a box with one of each?
The tasting was very intimate, in the counter that looked like it had been transported to medieval times inside a stone castle.

Each one has a different style, but they are all very good, it was fun and always cool to be able to learn more and more about the history, production and characteristics of each wine.
My favorite was the Alma Única wine, a full-bodied and aromatic dry red wine. Good to combine with barbecue.
I bought a bottle to take home, but I ended up drinking it at night at the hotel. There was no time to get to the cellar.
Miolo
As we still had a little time, we decided to visit Miolo, which is one of the largest wineries in Brazil.
The company invested in modern technology and it is very easy to find its wines in cellars across Brazil.
Guided tours and tastings are only available by appointment, but it was possible to stroll around the facilities a bit, the farm is very beautiful and the tranquility of the place makes it worth the visit.

This is how we ended our visit to Vale dos Vinhedos, it really was an unforgettable experience.
Each winery offered something unique, each with their own stories and the search for the perfect wine.
I recommend it to everyone who likes good wine or simply visiting to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this region. I hope you enjoyed it and there is still a little more to tell about this region that I will leave for the next posts.

Depois de explorar um pouco a cidade de Gramado, hoje o post é sobre vinhos! Vamos até Vale dos Vinhedos que é uma região famosa pelos vinhos.
Como adoro vinhos, não poderia deixar de visitar as vinícolas da região.
Elas ficam bem próximo de Gramado e é um ótimo passeio mesmo para quem não gosta de vinhos, com certeza irá se divertir pelas fazendas, paisagens pelo caminho e as histórias da região e sobre a produção dos vinho.
Estava ansioso pelas degustações, já que tive inúmeras recomendações de quem já tinha feito, pelo visto é um daqueles passeios que da ora repetir sempre.
Depois daquele cafe da manhã de hotel, ao sair do hotel ja deu para perceber que tempo tinha mudado e Sol estava brilhando e esquenta do bem. Dia maravilhoso!
Notei uma parte que ainda não tinha explorado, e encontrei alguns patos se divertindo em uma queda d'água.

Vale dos Vinhedos
No caminho para as vinícolas, uma parada em um mirante, que tem uma vista muito linda pela serra gaúcha.
O que seria uma parada rapida, acabou levando mais tempo, já que a paz e tranquilidade do local nos convida a pegar um cafe em um dos restaurantes.
Para quem gosta de fazer compras, esse mirante também oferece algumas lojas de roupas com varias opções para se manter aquecido no frio da Serra!
Tudo isso em um prédio que lembra um castelo.
Mas é hora de seguir viagem, já que temos degustação agendadas em 3 vinícolas:

Almaúnica
Almaúnica é uma vinícola que fica entre colinas verdes e seu nome foi pensado pela busca em singularidade e autenticidade na produção dos vinhos.
Ao chegar, uma entrada cercada por pinheiros e vinhedos que levam a entrada da casa principal, uma casa de arquitetura moderna com tijolinho aparente e vidros.
Com um deck para degustar vinhos, onde também é servido almoços com vista para os vinhedos.
A produção de vinhos é artesanal. As uvas são colhidas à mão, e a fermentação é feita em tanques de carvalho. Os vinhos são envelhecidos com paciência e o resultado são vinhos de sabores complexos.

Como estava apenas começando, escolhi não fazer a degustação completa.
Comecei pelo Vinho branco espumante, depois um espumante rose e depois para o vinho tinto, escolhi experimentar o vinho de uma das uvas que mais gosto, a Syrah, vinho bem encorpado.

A experiência foi íntima e memorável, já que não tinha muitas pessoas além de nosso grupo fazendo a degustação no mesmo horário.

Lidio Carraro
Lidio Carraro é uma vinícola familiar, fundada por Lidio e sua filha que são apaixonados por preservar a tradição e a terra.
A recepção foi excelente, onde contaram tudo sobre a tradição da vinícola e como ela se funde com a modernidade. Eles utiliza técnicas ancestrais, mas também investe em pesquisa e tecnologia, estudando e visitando vinícolas de outros países para aprender técnicas e trazer para casa.
Passeamos pelas instalações, escritório e charme do local impressiona, tudo muito bem planejado e decorado.

Depois de saber sobre a história, hora de ir para a degustação. Nessa sim escolhemos a degustação completa e fomos em uma sala privada, toda cercada com vidros e com vista para as plantações.
A cada vinho, água e petiscos para acompanhar, tudo com explicação completa do vinho, que transforma ainda mais a experiência. Nada como saber a história e modo de preparo do vinho que está degustando.
Depois de experimentar a linha clássica deles, foi hora de partir para os de Reserva. Um nem rótulo tinha, mas posso dizer que foi me escolhido. Muito encorpado com sabores intensos e taninos marcantes.

Com certeza a pureza desses vinhos reflete o compromisso que eles tem com a qualidade.
Lembrei que tinha o aplicativo Vivino instalado e comecei a usar ele para fazer minhas avaliações e poder lembrar dos vinhos que experimentei. Segue minha lista:
Cave de Pedra
A Cave de Pedra é única, um castelo de pedras, com as adegas no subsolo dentro de cavernas naturais, que cria um ambiente fresco para a maturação dos vinhos.
Gostei de todos os vinhos, são robustos e encorpados, e escolhi fazer a degustação completa, já que esses vinhos são mais difíceis de encontrar nas lojas de São Paulo, ótimo momento para experimentar todos.
O meu favorito foi o Sangiovese, que foi bem marcante. Mas o Cabernet Sauvignon e o Merlot representou também. Difícil escolher um só, que tal já levar uma caixa com um de cada?
A degustação foi bem intimista, no balção que parecia que tinha sido transportado para uma época medieval dentro de um castelo de pedras.

Cada uma tem um estilo diferente, mas todas são muito boas, foi divertido e sempre legal poder aprender cada vez mais sobre a história, produção e as características de cada vinho.
Meu preferido foi o vinho Alma Única, um vinho tinto seco bem encorpado e aromático. Bom para combinar com churrasco.
Comprei uma garrafa para levar para casa, mas eu acabei bebendo de noite no hotel. Não deu tempo de chegar na adega.
Miolo
Como ainda tínhamos um pouco de tempo, resolvemos visitar a Miolo, que é uma das das maiores vinícolas do Brasil.
A empresa investiu em tecnologia moderna e é bem fácil encontrar seus vinhos em adegas pelo Brasil.
As visitas guiadas e degustações, são feitas somente com horário marcado, mas foi possível passear um pouco pelas instalações, a fazenda é muito bonita e a tranquilidade do local faz valer a pena a visita.

Assim terminamos a visita ao Vale dos Vinhedos, realmente foi uma experiência inesquecível.
Cada vinícola ofereceu algo único, cada um com suas histórias e a busca pelo vinho perfeito.
