A few days ago with my friends Itso, @deska89 and @fog043 we spent time in the Eleno-Tvardishki section of Stara Planina and explored the shelters located in the area between the village Borov dol and Sheshkin town.
The village of Borov Dol was quiet and peaceful with neat little houses.
A picturesque river flows through the village and flows into the Belenska River. Right along the course of this river is built the road we took to see the shelters.
In the beginning, there was only a fountain at the site of the first shelter, which was built in 2011 by Vangel Karata. It was called "Cheshma Chatal Kaya".
Subsequently, a shed was built around the fountain with gazebos, a barbecue, a decorative well and outdoor wooden benches and tables.
There was also a small prayer area that had begun to fall into disrepair.
A path leads to the river and a beautiful natural view opens up. Here, too, there are built benches with a table.
After about 1.5 km. the second shelter is located. It was built around the Saint George chapel.
There was a very interesting stone fountain here.
There were many wooden benches and tables with a canopy.
A large clay oven covered with an oven lid.
There was a wooden building reached by a wooden ladder.
When I went upstairs, I saw that maybe it was used for sleeping. It is covered with nylon.
The most interesting was a closed room where we found authentic items from the past. Unfortunately it was dark and there was no lighting and the pictures are not very clear, but you can see some of the interesting ancient artifacts.
In the middle of the room was a hearth.
On the walls were pottery, wooden tools, rugs and many other things.
On the way to the third shelter we were briefly obstructed by a herd of cows. But we got through and moved on.
The third shelter was called "Eco Corner Paradise".
From it reveals a wonderful view of the river and the beautiful forest.
Here, in addition to wooden tables and benches, swings, there is also a whole cabinet with spices, sauces, napkins and other suitable things for a picnic.
The shelter has a creative focus - there are many drawings, pebbles painted as ladybugs, decorative pumpkins hanging on the trees.
We continued to the next shelter - "Byala Cheshma" shelter.
What spaciousness, freedom and lightness this place exuded!
Wooden benches, fireplaces, the beautiful stone fountain and the wonderful view of the river.
The huge meadow gave me the feeling that people once gathered here to play folk dances, and approaching the stone wall, I see that between the mosses there are drawings of dancing people dressed in folk costumes.
I immersed myself in the feeling and at the same time I felt sadness that the wall is covered with moss and the drawings are fading more and more.
These were the shelters that my friends and I found that day in this area of Bulgaria. It was very exciting for me, I hope it was interesting for you too.
