After leaving work I had to go to a part of the city where I had to run an errand, and then go home and during my trip I had to pass by a large well-known avenue in Ciudad Guayana - Venezuela, called Paseo Caroní, and I noticed that they had completely decorated it with Christmas decorations, because I had to take advantage of taking some photos and talk about this place, made up of a large area with many trees that covers a large part of the avenue in which you can walk around appreciating each one of the decorations, although of course it must be much better at night because there will be many lights, but today I had to walk around it during a very sunny afternoon.
Every year it is usual that in the city during these dates before Christmas it is usually decorated with lights and installations of what can be seen as typical animals of the area, such as the iguana, a monkey, a macaw and even a large bear that is not typical of the region but is symbolic for these holidays, otherwise you can see more related decorations such as the three wise men, installations such as gift boxes and among other things that refer to Christmas, there are even swings in certain trees for visitors to enjoy a little.
Of course at this time of the afternoon there is no one in this place, but during the nights there are usually many people making the journey along this avenue, only I can think of going during an afternoon with a very inclement sun, but in part it was also perfect to go at that time because I could capture images that suddenly cannot be appreciated at night, however in a few days I plan to go again with my wife but this time at night.
I usually used to walk around this area where these decorations are found a lot because I was always struck by the contrast between the trees and the area, and I used to take some photos of the shadows created. Besides, it is a place that somehow gives me peace of mind. It is a bit of contact with nature and a great space to walk while being in the city itself.
Without a doubt, I recommend this place as a point of visit for anyone who wants to visit the city of Puerto Ordaz, so that they can enjoy the Christmas theme together with the animal species that are in the place. It is a sample of the city's culture and part of its tradition. Although I emphasize again that it is best to visit this place at night so that you can appreciate the lights and of course spend the night cooler in a city that can be very hot during the day.
