When someone asks me about Bolivia, I always tell them that it was a nice surprise that I wasn't expecting.

Today I want to tell you about our time in the city of Tarija, the full name of the city is San Bernardo de Tarija and it is located in the south of the country near the border with Argentina at 1850 meters above sea level. which helps it to maintain a pleasant climate all year round, although at night it is very cold, temperatures approach zero degrees every night, sometimes even reaching -4 degrees Celsius.

The people are very friendly, it has a very vibrant trade, and it is incredibly cheap, compared to other regions.

On our first day of lodging I met this nice scarlet macaw, he liked to be given fruit, he was excited like a child and ran up and down the branches.

This is a fighter plane, a relic of the Chaco War, they are exhibited in different parts of the city, this one was on Paz Avenue.

Visit to the Paleontological and Archaeological Museum of Tarija:

In the paleontological museum we were able to appreciate the permanent exhibition with relics of the megafauna such as a giant sloth. I must admit that I had never seen many of the specimens that are preserved here, the size of these animals that once inhabited the earth is incredible.

I wish the images could transmit smells, these white and purple bushes are the product of a graft, a splinter of white flower and a splinter of purple flower and when they bloom they give both flowers, and the smell is hypnotic, it causes you to stay smelling them all day, you the smell comes from a distance.
