El sábado por la noche fuimos a pasear por el barrio de Santa Cruz de Alicante (España) con motivo de la festividad de las cruces de mayo. La fiesta de las cruces de mayo se celebra con motivo del día de la Santa Cruz (3 de mayo) y da nombre a este barrio de Alicante.
Para la celebración, los vecinos decoran las calles y preparan cruces hechas con flores, todas distintas y cada cual más elaborada que guardarán sus casas y cada rincón de las calles de Santa Cruz llenándolas de color.
Más allá de las cruces como símbolo religioso que no va conmigo, ver la combinación de flores que cada vecino elige para adornar las cruces me parece maravilloso y creo que vale la pena verlo.
En una de las calles del barrio de Santa Cruz, nos cruzamos con la banda de música y justo en ese momento, empezó a llover. Después de más de dos meses sin una gota, va y se pone a llover en ese momento. No le entiendo, porqué la banda de música tocaba muy bien.

Pensábamos que sería una tormenta corta pero no fue así. Estuvo lloviendo sin parar casi una hora y eso aquí no es muy normal. Se terminó la fiesta.
