Quiero hacerles un pequeño recorrido, o, mejor dicho, un recorrido de forma general y luego en otras publicaciones ir a los detalles de que se dedica cada departamento de la institución y contarles acerca de la programación en cada uno de sus locales y patios.
La primera vista de la fundación es la galería La Jungla, donde cada mes un artista de la plástica inaugura y expone una obra de su quehacer artístico.
Por supuesto que al entrar siempre tus ojos te llevan más allá donde tus pasos querrán ir también y nos encontramos con el patio de Frida.
Ella es Frida, mascota de esta institución, pues aquí amamos los animales, en especial los gatos, Frida ha vivido por varios años en nuestra sede y ha tenidos sus crías justo aquí y siempre andan correteando y alegrando el lugar.
El bazar Avenida 99, tienda para vender libros de uso y artesanías producto de las manos de mujeres y hombres que dedican a este arte. Obras maravillosas que alegan a cualquier persona cuando lo adquieren o alguien se los regala.
Luego dos librerías más, la librería de ediciones Sensemayá, que su objetivo fundamental es promover la obra de Nicolás Guillén y la librería de Casa de la Americas, como su nombre lo indica, vende y promueven las obras ganadoras de este concurso.
La sala de protocolo que se utiliza para reuniones, conferencias, proyección de audiovisuales o películas, o sencillamente actividades destinadas a un público selecto.
Patio El Cerezo para hacer actividades al aire libre, con su respectivo Café Cerezo, debajo de la sombra del mismo árbol, además de una música agradable, casi siempre trova o canción de autor.
Por último, el patio Los Tamarindos, porque un árbol de esta fruta es quien cobija este patio para actividades nocturnas. Ahí tenemos un bar para consumir las bebidas de preferencias según los públicos que asistan a las actividades.
