If you're up for an adventure, the town of Lazi in Siquijor is home to some of the most breathtaking waterfalls on the island. And when it comes to must-visit spots, Cambugahay Falls is arguably on the top of the list.
Before you get to enjoy the refreshing waters, be prepared for a quick cardio session, about 100 steps down to the falls! Consider it a free leg day workout before plunging into the dreamy cold blue waters. Trust me, the view at the bottom is worth every step!
Cambugahay is a stunning three-tiered falls with crystal-clear, Gatorade-blue waters surrounded by lush greenery. It's not just a breathtaking sight; it’s also a paradise for thrill-seekers and adventure enthusiast!
If you love a little adrenaline rush, try the famous Tarzan rope swings. The highest one is around 16-20 feet, perfect for those who want a real challenge. I tried the Tarzan Rope at the first level of the falls which is the highest point and it did not disappoint. The first level falls is about 6-8 meters deep so be sure that you know how to swim before trying the Tarzan Rope or atleast wear a life vest with you.
But if ever you have a fear of heights, don’t worry, there are also lower swings on the second and third levels for those who prefer a milder thrill. Either way, you’ll have an absolute blast!
You can also rent the bamboo raft and get some incredible shots from their infamous human drones. The guides there are very well equipped and sure knows how to take cool videos and photos.
How to Get There
Cambugahay Falls is about 30 minutes from San Juan, Siquijor, the island’s main tourist hub. The best way to get around? Rent a motorbike, just like we did. It gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace and take in the scenic routes along the way.
