Good morning everyone! Zak here fro Cape Town, South Africa.
The V&A Waterfront (Victoria and Alfred) is a popular tourist attraction. There is a mall, many restaurants/pubs, art galleries, an aquarium, hotels, a ferris wheel and a marina where you can go out of boat rides.
I happened to be in the are for some work and thought: Hey - This is a popular tourist spot! Usually people have to travel to get here!
Also, usually on the internet, you see only the perfect sunshiny days on the travel brochure. But a misty morning holds a certain beauty to it as well. And why only take pictures of the most famous places? What about just seeing a specific place and a specific time?
So I took out my phone and took these pictures!
This is a view of the way into the Waterfront towards the mall/restaurants. You can see how thick the mist is with the sun obscured like that.
Right in front of me now is the Watershed. It used to be a massive flea market with loads of stalls. Its become a lot more modern inside and seems to focus on art stalls. The layout and presentation is far more sleek and modern.
If art and buy souvenirs are your thing, this is the place to be.
Over there is the Two Oceans Aquarium. Cape Town sits near the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans and this Aquarium has fish and other sealife from both Oceans in it.
Its it well worth the time to go visit!
The red double decker bus is a special tour bus you can pay to tour you around Cape Town. I think they have a lot of routes because there is a lot to see and I have seen them all over the city, there is no way that can all be done in one trip!
The Parking lot is decorated by vines that have grown on the pillars but the staff keep it trimmed short.
Above the parking lot is both a hotel and a campus of the University of Cape Town.
Thank you for joining me on my little adventure!
Have a great day!
Cheers!
