Hello Everyone!

This is one of my past journey from 2016 and I wish that I would discover the HIVE platform sooner in order to share this story as fresh as it was, but as they say better to do it later than never! 😅

Today I would like to share my incredible journey to one of my favorite place since I was a child and that place is the United States of America. Me, my (future) wife 😁 and few friends decided to take this amazing journey to visit the most iconic cities from the world and try to visit as much as places as possible within our short (roughly three weeks) period of time.

It was 2016 and that time we were living in London, so it was easy to book and plan a flight from there and we have decided to take a tour from Los Angeles to San Fransisco than to Las Vegas.

Organising everything and to get the ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) took months, but finally we managed to prepare everything and the day came for the travel. 🤗

The time of the flight was long, because it took more than 10 hours and if you live in Europe you know that you can be anywhere within 3 hours, so it was a brand new experience for us. We booked the America Airlines for 491 pounds, which was pretty cheap, but we booked that in January and the flight was due at the end of April.

We took off around 2pm London time and we arrived the same day at 2pm Los Angeles time, which is pretty insane if to think about it! 😜

As we arrived we booked a taxi, which of course overcharged us, but at least the 5 of us traveled together to our Airbnb house. Getting in was easy and the way the whole Airbnb works was pretty easy and straight forward without any issues.

This was the view from our house when we were heading out to find some food and rest! 😇

Day 1.

The next day we have decided to visit the ocean, because we never saw that up close only from the sky, so we were headed to our first famous place called Santa Monica. 😇

The place looked beautiful with the long sandy beaches to both directions and I was taking a lot of picture from it! On the last picture you can see Malibu as well at the feet of the mountains. 😎

We were so excited that we rushed to the beach to put our feet into the ocean, but that turned out to be an interesting experience, because the water was very cold (19C-20C), which was a bit of surprise. I had to quickly re-evalute the Baywatch series and give them a huge thumbs up splashing into the cold ocean! 😂

We enjoyed ourselves on this sandy beach and when we had enough of the fresh air and chilly water we were heading to the pier, because it looked very interesting and you were able to walk into the ocean on it! 😁

The time is flying when you are enjoying your day trip and the sun was about to go down and I think I have made the most incredible photos of my life! 😇

When we finished on the pier it was getting dark, so we had a nice dinner in an amazing resturant (sadly I forgot the name of that) where the food was absolutely delicious! 👍👍👍

Day 2.

The second day me and my friend were about to go out early in the morning to pick up our rented car, because our next waypoint was quite far and this city is all about cars and not about mass transit.

Originally we wanted to hire a Mustang and we quickly found out that almost everybody does that when they arrived to the U.S.A, so we quickly changed our mind and luckily we managed to get a 2016 Chevrolete Impala, which was brand new at that time and quite powerful. 😁

We were headed to the Griffith Observatory, which is southern California's gateway to the cosmos! 😊

The whole journey was amazing through the city and when we reached the top of the hill where we walked around and inside of the Observatory.

The city landscape and the whole environment around it was stunning and we managed to capture our next target, which is on the picture above! 😇

We had to go back to the city and we drove to the closest point to the Hollywood sign where we had to hike through the hill to the closest point to take pictures. The whole hike tokk around an hour and finally we arrived to the spot to take some amazing pictures! 😊

When we finally reached to the closest point (at least what we know is the closest) we took some pictures and started to head back, because it was getting dark and we didn't wanted to go back in pitch black! 😅

I was planning to share one city per post, but there is so much to see there that I need to split our journey in Los Angeles and create another one not to overwhelm you with these pictures, so I will give time for you to read and watch all of these pictures until I finish my second post!

All in all I made 2843 pictures with two cameras and one phone, so it is quite difficult for me what to share and what to leave out! 😏

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed our story (as we did) so far and I hope I will see you in my next post as well! 🤗

To Be Continued! 😇
