Nwii Nwii Nwii, Have you ever perceive or hear that kind sound before? If yes, please from who? and from where? Hahaha, let me ask you, why do you always clap your hands near your ear immediately you perceive such sound?
Chei, we Africans and Nigerians are fond of clapping our hands near our ears because of the irritating sound from one tiny insect or creature with the long-form name Mosquito. Hehehe, if you're living in diaspora, you're missing a lot. Please, visit Nigeria or any part of Africa to get such entertaining beat and sound from mosquitoes near your ears. Hahaha . please don't sue me oo.
Since I was born, or will I say, since I was a foetus inside my mom's womb, I have been hearing as my mom will clap close to her ears and I kept on asking myself why? most times, while trying to clap her hands close to her ears, she will end up slapping her cheeks. That really amazed me then. But I kept silent though I was desperate to know.
As soon as she gave birth to me, after a year, I started understanding why she do clap very close to her ears and why she do hit her ears most times in the name of clapping. It's hilarious, isn't it?
Well, there is this tiny insect known as mosquito here in my country. One remarkable thing about this tiny insect is that whenever it want to bite someone, instead of perching on the person's body directly, it will first of all raise an irritating sound to the ear, before perching and biting.
So, today, while spending the day with my mom, I unexpectedly and unintentionally dropped everything I was carrying just to kill one mosquito that visited my ear. But the most annoying part is that I was unable to kill it.
At that, I asked mom why mosquito, instead of biting someone straight will first of all do Nwii Nwii Nwii to the ear?. The answer she gave me landed me into the pot of laughter.
She said that according to mosquito, he asked for ears hand in marriage but ear refused because mosquito is too tiny and it's skeletal muscle is not presentable. Also, ear sees mosquito as someone that will not live long because of it's stature. To cut the whole thing short, ear thinks that mosquito's lifespan will be short.
As a result, she deprive mosquito the opportunity to marry her.
According to her, that's the reason why mosquito always do visit ear Everytime to present himself to her for ear to know that he's still alive.
Hahaha, honestly, I didn't expect such answer from my Mom initially. Please who else have heard about this tale?
