The day before that day was Sunday during when we are at home mum called me and sat me down she had a bad dream i shouldn’t go out tommorow which was on Monday i said to her I have to go cause if I don’t go I might be sacked from work I have been taking too much off lately at work I just persuaded her everything is goona be okay it was on Monday which was the next day I left home heading out to work usual my work is far from my home so it more like traveling inter state so I usually stay at work till weekend until Friday I went home this how have been doing every week.

I was heading out that faithful day to work I was at bus-stop exactly 6:00am in the morning waiting for public vechicle heading to my destination the wait was going over an hour already I didn’t see any public vehicle heading towards my destination i was already getting late for work,it usually took me about 2 hours to get to work if there was no traffic delaying me or public transport; I am still at bus-stop waiting for vehicle all of a sudden a private vehicle came to my front calling my destination i was so happy that day it was a sienna sometimes if I can’t see public bus i do use alternative which is private vehicle; the amount which the driver was calling was so cheap saying we should enter at the rate of N500 normally public bus is N800 naira i was so happy I boarded immediately to save time under less than two minute the sienna was full we were on the road going towards our destinations.

We were half way road until this unfortunate event happened there was a check in point ahead of us i notice the driver was trying to avoid them he shift towards the service lane but we never suspected anything we all thought of nothing in particular not until a task force was in the service lane which stopped our vehicle the man’s told the driver to park his vehicle very well should leave the road by the time we looked at the driver he was sweating we were now like what is all this commotion about we are heading to work the task force called some police which they working hand to hand and also his colleagues to come over his location, we passenger was now like driver what is going on the driver was just sweating as if he just took his bath.

Conversation between the task force and the driver and also passenger
Task force: good day Mr man can you kindly step down from your vechicle
Driver: why
Passenger: Oga we are heading to work
Task force:(he didn’t even mind the passenger talking) my friend come down from that vechicle
Passenger: we were been furious like which kind Wahala be this
Police: pointed a gun towards the driver if you don’t come down now I use this gun to scatter your head
Passenger: Jesus ooo Oga abeg ooo driver come down ooo abeg ooo we were just heading to work ni ooo
Driver: (was even sweating more seriously than before and came down)
Police officer: bent him over and put hand cuff behind his hand and also even us passenger was told to come down also that w are part of the scene
Police officer:: this vehicle was reported stolen in our office last week by the owner and finally we succeeded in seeing the vechicle you all are under arrest.
Passengers: chai Oga we no Dey involved we just Dey head our own destination ni ooo abeg ooo
Police officer: when you all get to station una go explain tire under any circumstances anything you say will be use against you
In court of law
Me: I was trying to prove stubborn here wanting to call my boss the event which happened that day I received a hell of a slap and beating cause first of all i was the one sitting down next to driver Chineke the moment I took my phone from my pocket trying to claim civilians right guy i chop beating no be small in this our country I know civilian right doesn’t exist.
That day we were all taken to the station and was told to write our statement down our anger was directed at the driver that he should talk we are not the real criminal here that we just a victim of the issue going on here driver didn’t even talk anything not until the owner of the vehicle came to the station about three hours after the incident and said the driver was the only one involved in it and the police turned and look at the driver and gave him a dirty slap and said why didn’t you said so since and make me put them here eventually that day I spent almost all my day at the station and we were eventually released from the station my face was not looking good at all it was covered with bruise and slap of claiming civil right I just left there quietly and when I came out the next statement i uttered from my mouth was “chai my mom warned me not to go out today”
