My Awkward Encounter.

Ceremonies are times when people, friends and families from far and near come together for a specific happy occasion.

On a weekend, especially Saturdays people are seen going for one particular event or the other. It's almost as if the universe conspires to designate Saturday as a global gala, a day woven with threads of jubilation. Sincerely I need someone to answer this question like is Saturday universally ordained for revelry and festivities? because over here Saturdays are like celebration days. In fact I'm officially renaming Saturday to "Celebration day" or "Event day". If I'm moving on the street, cars have different colors, sizes, and brands moving in the road traveling to their various destinations after the event is done.

In my quiet world, I find solace within the walls of my home, engaging in various activities. While I seldom venture out, there's a soft spot in my heart for special occasions, particularly the magic of wedding ceremonies and joyous birthdays. These gatherings, woven with tradition, hold a unique charm for me.

There's an enchantment in witnessing the sacred union of a bride and groom, a timeless ritual that stirs both the single ladies' dreams of their own someday and the married women's whims of reliving their cherished traditions. The allure extends beyond the vows, reaching the smiles that dance on every face present.

Yet, these enchanting events remain elusive for me. However, destiny decided to unveil a new chapter when an invitation to my uncle's wedding graced my doorstep. Excitement bubbled within me, not just for the joyous union but for the prospect of the celebration unfolding in a neighboring town. A welcome break from the familiar contours of my own town awaited, promising a day adorned with festivities and a refreshing change of scenery.

Everyone was preparing for that day, my parents sewed traditional clothes. I also sewed traditional clothes since it was going to be a traditional marriage. Personally, on my side I was eager for the awaited day to be here, but it was as though the day kept running away as I waited.

Finally on a Saturday as usual the day is here, you know, one of the things I found out about my town is that if you place an event or ceremony on weekdays then expect to see no one but you alone. Because everyone will be busy with their daily activities and no one is going to leave their workplace to attend a ceremony. That's the reason why weekends, especially Saturdays, are for events.

After a few hours, we reached the town and the event hall. The place was adorned with vibrant flowers, lively balloons, and charming traditional decorations. Stepping into the hall, the ambiance whispered that today was indeed a day dedicated to celebrating love.

Upon our arrival, the couple hadn't made their entrance, and only a handful of guests had gathered. Despite our early arrival, the festivities had not yet begun.

In just 15 minutes, the hall transformed into a lively scene. The wedding had commenced, and the atmosphere buzzed with music, spirited dance, twinkling lights, and an overall enchanting vibe. The bride, brimming with joy, gracefully danced, her excitement radiating from every expression. Surprisingly, my uncle, the groom, matched her enthusiasm step for step. I found myself involuntarily smiling as I witnessed their happiness. In that moment, my thoughts wandered into the realm of possibilities, envisioning myself one day adorned in a wedding dress.

I'm hungry already, isn't it time for food? I said to myself. I was wondering when the food servers would come over to my side and give me my own food because I was seriously hungry and trust me missing a wedding rice isn't what I should do.

Anticipation fluttered in the air as I eagerly awaited my turn for a delightful meal. Impatience tiptoed in, but I managed to cloak it with composure. Legs gracefully crossed, a radiant smile adorned my face, and the ensemble of my hair and dress exuded a stunning charm, drawing admiring glances from those around. Well, I planned to steal the show.

At last, the moment arrived; it was my turn in the spotlight. The server approached, and a jubilant sensation echoed in my stomach. Sweet anticipation made my mouth water, a delightful prelude to the feast. It felt like a surge of newfound strength coursed through me. As the server neared, I extended my hand, poised to claim my culinary delight.

Yet, in a surprising twist, the server veered towards the person next to me, serving them instead. A shock coursed through me, akin to a bee's sting. "Relax, ma'am, it's not your turn yet," she kindly remarked. Stunned, I bit my lips and discreetly shielded my face with my hands, attempting to salvage a semblance of grace. I was really really embarrassed. I wanted to get up and go home immediately.
