Hello everyone, I'm @germanandradeg and I come with great enthusiasm to introduce myself to this distinguished community.
Since I stumbled on Hive with the good friend @jonsnow1983, it has been like a blessing, with this gentleman you always learn, and now that I see him involved in the foundation of this community I am sure we will learn a lot.
I've been learning English since elementary school, specifically since third grade, also in high school, and of course in college, but I haven't really put my mind to it and I barely interpret some things.
My pronunciation is terrible, it leaves much to be desired and most of the time my interpretation is totally wrong.
Recently, I learned about the "Duolingo" application and decided to install it on my phone.
I have managed to do the daily practices but I feel that this is not enough, it has reminded me of what I learned in my academic years but I do not think that with this tool you can have a fluent conversation in English.
Also, I was invited to an English course of a group known to my wife and this was done via Zoom, but it was more the absences of the class instructor than what was learned.
Therefore, I have welcomed the creation of this @hivelingual community, where I hope to learn and expose my learning progress.
On different occasions and as an adventurer, I have gone out to converse with English speakers, especially with those who have been in my country and who do not speak Spanish.
Well, it turns out that I have crashed like no other, I have been embarrassed and the English speaker has ended up understanding me more in Spanish than in English.
It has only happened to me.
Whoever came up with this idea, is exploited of superior intelligence, this is (for me) a great contribution to the platform; what a wonderful universe this is that I have reached a year ago; Hive.
So, I could not let this event go unnoticed and I decided to come and introduce myself to the community and expose my hunger to learn another language apart from my native one.
Another thing, Portuguese, is another language that I am passionate about and want to learn.
I have no choice but to use the translator in case what I wrote in Spanish is not understood.

Hola a todos, soy @germanandradeg y vengo con mucho entusiasmo a presentarme en esta distinguida comunidad.
Desde que me tropecé en Hive con el buen amigo @jonsnow1983, ha sido como una bendición, en este señor siempre se aprende y ahora que lo veo involucrado en la fundación de esta comunidad pues estoy seguro que mucho aprenderemos.
Estoy viendo el inglés desde la primaria, específicamente desde el tercer grado, también en el bachillerato y por supuesto en la universidad, pero no le he puesto ganas y apenas interpreto algunas cosas.
Mi pronunciación es fatal, deja mucho que desear y la mayoría de las veces mi interpretación está totalmente equivocada.
Recientemente, me enteré de la aplicación "Duolingo" y decidí instalarla en mi teléfono.
He logrado hacer las prácticas diarias pero siento que esto no es suficiente, me ha recordado lo que aprendí en mis años académicos pero no creo que con esta herramienta puede tener una conversación fluida en inglés.
También, fui invitado a un curso de inglés de un grupo conocido de mi esposa y este se hacía vía Zoom, pero era más las ausencias del intructor de clases que lo que se aprendía.
Por lo tanto, he recibido con beneplácito la creación de esta comunidad @hivelingual, en donde espero aprender y exponer mis avances en el aprendizaje.
En diferentes oportunidades y de aventurero, he salido a conversar con personas hablantes del inglés, sobre todo con aquellas que han estado en mi país y que no dominan el idioma español.
Bueno, resulta que me he estrellado como ninguno, he pasado la vergüenza máxima y el hablante ingles ha terminado entendiéndome más en español que en inglés.
Solo me ha pasado a mí.
Al que se le ocurrió esta idea, esta explotado de inteligencia superior, esto es (para mi) un aporte genial para la plataforma; que universo tan maravilloso es este al que he llegado hace un año; Hive.
Entonces, no podía pasar desapercibido este acontecimiento y decidí venir a presentarme a la comunidad y exponer mi hambre por aprender otro idioma aparte del nativo.
Otra cosa, el portugués, es otro idioma que me apasiona y que quiero aprender.
No me toca otra que usar el traductor por si lo que escribí en español no se entiende.
El universo les conceda todo lo que anhelan y llene de bendiciones sus hogares.
