Вага срібного виробу складає 15.55 г, а діаметр — 33 мм. Для допису “Рік Кота, монета із серії “Східний календар”, номінал 5 гривень, 2011 рік” використано дві світлини з офіційного сайту Національного банку України. Монета має рифлений гурт. Загальний тираж аж 20 тисяч монет.
Реверс. В оточені 12 представників східного календаря та орнаменту з рослин зображений головний персонаж. Його очі прикрашає альпініт.
Лицьова сторона. У верхній частині на темному тлі зображено Герб. Внизу, теж на темному тлі нанесено характеристики металу, рік карбування. В центрі внизу вказано номінал, угорі назву банку, а оточує ці написи рослинний орнамент.
