Привіт! Ну хто з українців не чув про легендарне торгове місце — Сорочинський ярмарок. Саме йому й присвячена монета зі срібла номіналом 20 гривень. Монета виготовлена 17 серпня.
Виріб важить 62.2 г й має розмір 50 мм. Загалом було введено в обіг 5 тисяч штук. Для допису “Серія монет “Українська спадщина”: срібло, Сорочинський Ярмарок, 2005 рік, номінал 20 гривень” використано дві світлини з офіційного сайту Національного банку України. Гурт монети Сорочинський ярмарок має секторальне рифлення.
Реверс. Назва монети викарбувана угорі по колу. Основну частину срібного виробу займає стилізована композиція, де зображено чимало фігур людей. В такий спосіб художники продемонстрували атмосферу торгівлі.
Аверс монети. Номінал нанесено внизу, а трішки вище (зліва й справа) викарбувано назву дорогоцінного металу, вагу, пробу й лого МД. Напис Україна традиційно розташований угорі, нижче Герб. По обидва боки від останнього вказано рік введення монети в обіг. В центрі нанесено контури Миколи Гоголя й персонажа — Рудого Панька. Їх портрети видніються на тлі українського пейзажу.

Greetings! Well, who among Ukrainians has not heard about the legendary trading place - Sorochynskyi Fair. A silver coin with a denomination of 20 hryvnias is dedicated to him. The coin was produced on August 17.
The product weighs 62.2 g and has a size of 50 mm. A total of 5,000 units were put into circulation. Two photos from the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine. The band of the Sorochyn Fair coin has sectoral corrugations.
Reverse. The name of the coin is engraved at the top in a circle. The main part of the silver product is occupied by a stylized composition, which depicts many figures of people. In this way, the artists demonstrated the atmosphere of trade.
Obverse of the coin. The denomination is applied at the bottom, and a little above (on the left and right) the name of the precious metal, weight, assay and MD logo are engraved. The inscription Ukraine is traditionally located at the top, below the Coat of Arms. The year of introduction of the coin into circulation is indicated on both sides of the latter. In the center are the contours of Mykola Gogol and the character Rudy Panko. Their portraits are visible against the background of the Ukrainian landscape.
