The day 2 venue of Hivefest was astounding but unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the day fully. On 17th September, I had an early shift, early means I had to wake up at 4.00 am and had to go to work at 6.00 am. So, after finishing my work, I prepared myself for Hivefest day 2. Unfortunately, due to taking the wrong train, I ended up at Schiphol instead of Amsterdam Central. Should I blame google for asking for the fastest route? I guess I should blame myself for not understanding the location properly. :P Then I missed the metro and later, I took the metro from Duivendrecht (a village in the Netherlands) to Amsterdam Central which took around 35 minutes to reach Amsterdam Central. But my destination was Nieumarket which was the stoppage before Amsterdam Central. Anyway, I reached the Hivefest safely after a small excursion...
So around 2.00 pm (14.00), finally, I reached the Hivefest venue called Zuiderkerk which is a beautiful Protestant (not anymore) church of the 17th century. The construction finished around 1614 and I must admit, it was one of the perfect locations for Hivefest.
The venue was perfect, everybody enjoyed the presentations while enjoying the snacks and food. It was really a great community place for meet-ups. Also, outside weather was nice so people were able to spend time outside while enjoying the beautiful Amsterdam.
I was so tired until then that I barely was able to open my eyes. My face was full of dullness and tiredness though I put on a lot of makeup. Anyway, after reaching the venue, first I met Roeland and talked to him. Later, I took some snacks and food and started enjoying the presentation of SPK Network. I have missed a lot of presentations that I was eagerly looking forward to seeing but it is what it is.
I personally like the outfit of Roeland, truly goes with his personality and style...
I personally liked Roeland's outfit, truly goes with his personality and style. I have spent most of my time talking to @zirochka, @gtg, @tibfox, @soyrosa, @cryptospa, and many others. To be honest, it took me some time to interact with people and that's why I couldn't talk to most of the people at first. Though I managed to come out of my shy shell and did socialization.
With Gandalf, I have a very special connection and bonding and we mostly have talked about funny things because know each other a bit from before because of Hive. I will write about it later what we discussed :D... With Zirochka, I felt like I have known her for a long time and when I met her, I didn't feel it was the first time I was meeting her. The same thought goes for Tibfox and Cryptospa. We can continue talking for hours each other. As I have said before, I tried to keep my conversation very simple and casual with everybody.
I should mention @minigunner, @artakush, and their @coldbeetrootsoup. I tasted their special soup when I was staying at Art's house. So this was the second time I was enjoying their soup at Hivefest. You guys are the best...
Everybody at some point was busy finding the treasure hunt hosted by @pinmapple. I was too tired to do that so I was sitting outside of the church. Right before the closing ceremony of Hivefest day-2, I got the chance to meet @elmerlin and we talked for a while about his project @Liketu. And I had a very nice discussion with @slobberchops. I was always interested in his urban exploration community on Hive and we have discussed the concept, ideas, and background of the community.
I only mentioned a few people now in the post, there are more... For example, I had a nice conversation with @delishtreats and @brittandjosie, I mean I tried to connect with everybody whom I know on the chain.
Later we went to The Prael for the #beersaturday celebration. Thanks to @detlev for arranging everything and hosting the party. I also wanna thank @karinxxl for the beer suggestion, I was confused about which beer I should order. I was with @engrave, @rollie1212, and @quekery, at the same table. I knew Rollie before and he showed me his little boy, we had a nice chat and he is the master of beer. That was the first time I was meeting Engrave and it was nice talking to him. I also met @rmach there and we talked about the Ukraine situation. Thank you Rmach for the encouragement...
I had a very good conversation with Quekery and I came to know more about the @hiq.magazine project. In my opinion, it is a very interesting project and needs more exposure. I also wanna thank the HQ team for Hivefest Magazine, love it, especially for the ups and downs concept.
As usual, I had to leave early so couldn't stay for the night...
Thank you so much for reading...
Love
