When I got a phone with quality camera, the one thing I wouldn’t stop doing was take pictures of the sky especially on days the sky decided to be dramatic. By dramatic, I don’t mean drumrolls, or birds chirping, rather, they are days when the sky are like this.
I’ve been opportune to see the sky clear, and other times, cloudy. But the most beautiful times I’ve loved to watch the sky are on days when they are blue or when the sun is just about to come out of hiding or when it’s setting. The beauty of those periods are usually unmatched.
I lived in a storey building where I had access to seeing the sun rise and set, and I’ve always loved seeing those periods even though sometimes, I tend to miss them. On this beautiful morning, I was lucky enough to catch the moment. I woke up, opened the door that led to the balcony, stepped out, rested my back on the wall and watched the birds flew around singing happily, maybe they were excited at the thought of the sun coming out anytime soon.
Then, the sun in its very beautiful self, started coming out, not without sending forth some orange beauties which I was able to catch in this shot.
On some other days while I was at the balcony, the day was very clear, and the sky also had no sun. the weather was so calm and cool, yet, the beauty of the sky didn’t in no way reduce.
I’ve always looked forward to catching sun rays in my shots, but I’ve been unlucky, however, the sun looked at me and said, you’ve tried. Let’s give you the chance to capture my rays today. Actually, it was a sunny cum cloudy moment. The cloudy sky was about to send the sun into hiding once again, but I took a shot before the clouds completely took over. The most exciting part of the shot is the part that shone its light on the earth.
I said I love dramatic skies, however, have you met a dramatically blue sky? See the beauty here. The sun is high up in the sky, scorching hot, but the skies beauty complements the sunny day perfectly. Even though it was hot, and I was thirsty and looking for hiding from the sun, it was interesting to be able to capture this blue sky without any effort at editing.
Have you ever been able to capture the moon? I tried it once and I was shocked that my phone could do as much as this magic. The roundness of the moon, even though it’s not really fully captured, it looks very beautiful and it feels fulfilling to be able to capture a shot that’s close to clean. I intend to try again though, but I’ve not been opportune to step out at night when the full moon is up in the sky.
