Hola madres y padres, decidí escribir esta publicación por que en las últimas semanas han pasado cosas en mi país que no se como asimilar, es como si mi cuerpo, mente y alma no encontrara un punto lógico en todo lo que está mal en el mundo.

Hello mothers and fathers, I decided to write this post because in the last few weeks things have happened in my country that I do not know how to assimilate, it is as if my body, mind and soul do not find a logical point in everything that is wrong in the world.

Hay temas delicados que desearíamos que no sucedieran, una de esas cosas es el abuso sexual infantil. Es un acto atroz que debería ser condenado o mejor aún, no debería existir. Pero la realidad es que en lo que va de año han salido a la luz pública demasiados delitos de este tipo, a través de las noticias y las redes sociales y eso es lo que me tiene muy desconcertada.

There are sensitive issues that we wish would not happen, one of those things is child sexual abuse. This is an atrocious fact that should be condemned or better yet, it should not exist at all. But the reality is that so far this year too many crimes of this type have come to public light, through the news and social networks and that is what has me very puzzled.

¿Qué está pasando con las familias, por qué estamos tan mal? En mi ser, no puedo entender por qué no podemos confiar ni siquiera en la persona que nos dio la vida para proteger a nuestros hijos. Se supone que debemos proteger a nuestros hijos de los extraños pero ahora debemos y tenemos la obligación de protegerlos incluso de los padres, abuelos, tíos y hermanos.

What is happening to families, why are we in such a bad way? In my being, I cannot understand why we cannot trust even the person who gave us life to protect our children. We are supposed to protect our children from strangers but now we should and have an obligation to protect them even from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings.

No sé si el deterioro social ha influido de tal manera en las familias que ahora todos somos extraños o si simplemente son casos aislados de enfermos mentales que siempre fueron así y nunca nos dimos cuenta. Pero conocer en un mes casos tan horribles en los que lo único que podemos pensar es que esta gente está muy enferma, porque es inconcebible que cometan los peores actos contra los niños, eso es algo que me pone muy mal.

I don't know if the social deterioration has influenced families in such a way that now we are all strangers or if they are simply isolated cases of mentally ill people who were always like that and we never realized it. But to know in one month such horrible cases in which the only thing we can think is that these people are very sick, because it is inconceivable that they commit the worst acts against children, that is something that makes me very sick.

En lo más profundo de mi corazón quisiera que todo fuera un mal cuento de terror, que ningún niño tuviera que pasar por algo así, porque se supone que los adultos somos responsables de su seguridad y felicidad. Solo nos queda cuidar mucho a nuestros niños, escuchemos lo que tienen que decir, prestemos atención si no les gusta una persona, no importa quien sea, normalmente estos abusos vienen de personas de confianza, también es muy importante que les enseñemos a defender su intimidad y a pedir ayuda.

In the deepest part of my heart I wish that all this was a bad horror story, that no child had to go through something like this, because we adults are supposed to be responsible for their safety and happiness. We just have to take good care of our children, listen to what they have to say, pay attention if they do not like a person, no matter who it is, usually these abuses come from people we trust, it is also very important that we teach them to defend their privacy and to ask for help.
