I had been planning my son's baptism for a long time but it had not taken place because his aunt who I chose as godmother could not attend because she lives far from us, without any lie I rescheduled the date 4 times because there was always something new until I decided to do it, I did not want more time to pass.
However, his aunt was able to come without any problem and the baptism took place; many people told me not to do it, but the truth is that every family has their religion and their way of thinking which is respectable. I feel that baptizing my son was very important to me, I also felt that I could not wait any longer, since I had postponed it several times.
On the other hand, the godparents were chosen in such a way that my husband and I were in agreement, since it was his turn to choose the godparents; likewise, the godmothers were relatives that I have here in this country although they are far away from where I currently live.
In conclusion I could finally baptize him and make a small celebration, however I was not going to do anything due to the situation we live in today, but his godparents decided to collaborate to make him a small toast which became a great celebration, the truth we had a great time with everyone in fact a friend made him the cake without us knowing anything everyone was coming up with something and set the table.
Finally, I want to thank for all the good people that surround us because even though I am in another country alone with my husband and my son, we have met beautiful people who love my son very much, that for me is a great blessing.
