Hola, queridos amigos de @motherhood, me complace saludarles y bendecirles una vez más, tenía días que no pasaba por estos lados de la Blockchain, hoy les vengo a contar como nos fue en la Biblioteca Pública de Cumaná.
Primero déjenme ponerles en contexto, sobre los motivos de mi alegría de dar este paso con mis niñas. Resulta que Arianna, mi segunda hija, no es muy amante de la lectura, eso que desde que estaba en sus primeros meses de gestación le leía, cuento tras cuento, día a día, así como escuchaba música clásica, todo esto con la intención de ir fomentando la lectura, es decir según los expertos esto ayuda, esto mismo hice también en cuanto nació. Le leía mucho, ¿será que la que no sabe leer soy yo? Porque no entiendo de verdad.
Mi hija mayor le había comprado muchos cuentos y es que desde siempre me preocupé por qué fueran buenas lectoras, cosa que no recuerdo hicieran conmigo de niña, que solo leía las clases del colegio y para las tareas.
Pero tantos esfuerzos han sido en vano, por nada del mundo le gusta leer, me dicen que no debo obligarla. A veces la dejo quieta y la libro del fastidio que es para ella que la manden a leer, pues me llama mala a cada rato, hasta me deja notas por la casa diciéndome mala, eso me duele mucho, pues lo que quiero es su bienestar.
La lectura no es un hobby, es algo que debe hacer para poder entender e interpretar lo que lee para sus clases. Y si fuera por gusto sería maravilloso.
Una y mil estrategias he buscado para que lea y termina siempre molesta, porque para mí no sabe leer como debiera, con entonación, con pausa entre las palabras y oraciones, con fluidez. La verdad que si lee, pero no como yo quiero que lo haga. Me dicen que todo a su tiempo, pero ya tiene 9 años y desde los 4 años o si acaso antes la estoy enseñando a leer.
Entonces estos días pase cerca de la biblioteca y me anime a entrar con su papá, él me dice ¿qué vamos a hacer aquí? Le respondo que además de recordar viejos tiempos, de las muchas veces pase en estos espacios, quería ver como estaban las instalaciones para traer a Arianna y a Ambar, para ver si se entusiasma a leer.
Este miércoles se llegó el día en el que por fin pudimos entrar un rato, habíamos ido el sábado y estaba cerrado, esta vez llegamos como a las 3:35 pm y cerraban a la 4 pm. Casi que no nos dejan entrar, le dijimos a los encargados que entraríamos a que mis niñas por lo menos conocieran sus instalaciones, para luego venir otro día en la mañana, ya que, se nos hace cuesta arriba llegar más temprano.
Su primera impresión fue buena, las dos estaban impresionadas con tantos libros, ya no había casi gente. Sin embargo, cuando subimos a la parte de los niños si había un personal en esa área trabajando. Un joven nos estuvo explicando de las diferentes actividades que hacen con los niños, por ejemplo el 14 de este mes harán una actividad por la celebración del día del amor y la amistad.
Como no teníamos mucho tiempo, el joven nos dio un recorrido por las diferentes temáticas de los libros, el área de cuentos, novelas, fábulas, juegos, artes, de todo había un poco. Cómo cuando fui antes, vi unos libros sobre primeros pasos para dibujar con crayones, fue de los primeros que les mostré, al igual que uno en donde explicaban como hacer figuras de papel.
Arianna le gustan mucho las artes manuales, se parece un poco a mí en eso. Otra de las cosas que quiero que aprenda es a dibujar y vuelvo en lo mismo, es algo que le beneficiará mucho para sus estudios, todo lo que le ayude a desenvolverse mejor en clases, creo que le allanará más el camino y rendirá más en clases.
Esta vez como era poco tiempo no nos enfocamos en leer, sino a ver los diferentes libros y crear en ellas la curiosidad de volver a ir. Algo que me gusto mucho fue que tienen el servicio de préstamos de libros, la próxima vez veremos cuáles serán la serie de requisitos que piden para gozar del servicio.
Aunque, aquí en el apartamento tiene varios libros, ya los ha releído varias veces y contar con unos nuevos, espero que la entusiasme y se dedique a leer por gusto y no por obligación. Ruego a Dios que así sea, para descansar un rato, de ese suplicio diario, de mandarla a leer casi que obligado. Ya en poco tiempo me toca esta tarea con Ambar, por eso la traigo a las dos para que también agarre el hilo je, je, je.
Voy a tratar de traerlas por lo menos una vez a la semana, en las mañana, cuando no me toque ir a la oficina. Esta vez mi mamá nos acompañó, por cierto le gustó y dijo que otro día traería a los otros nietos, que son pequeños, solo espero que todos no echen la biblioteca abajo je, je, je.

A young man was explaining to us about the different activities they do with the children, for example on the 14th of this month they will do an activity for the celebration of the day of love and friendship.
Since we didn't have much time, the young man gave us a tour of the different themes of the books, the area of stories, novels, fables, games, arts, there was a little bit of everything. Like when I went there before, I saw some books about first steps to draw with crayons, it was one of the first ones I showed them, as well as one where they explained how to make paper figures.
Arianna is very fond of arts and crafts, she's a bit like me in that. Another thing I want her to learn is how to draw and I come back to the same thing, it's something that will benefit her a lot for her studies, anything that helps her to perform better in class, I think it will pave the way for her and she will perform better in class.
This time as it was a short time we didn't focus on reading, but to see the different books and create in them the curiosity to go again. Something I really liked was that they have a book lending service, next time we will see what are the requirements to enjoy the service.
Although, here in the apartment she has several books, she has already reread them several times and having some new ones, I hope she will be enthusiastic and will read for pleasure and not for obligation.
