Nessa postagem que marca meu retorno as atividades na Hive, ainda não vou falar de como está sendo essa experiencia pra mim, vou me ater apenas ao parto e ao período na maternidade. Em breve trarei muito mais sobre ela e os 2 meses de vida até agora, mas essa postagem vai ser focada no parto e no período da maternidade, e claro que teremos muitas fotos!
Então vamos ao que interessa...
O parto
Vamos começar pelo começo! Por volta das 2 da manhã do dia 19 de abril eu estava assistindo a serie Bebe Rena enquanto fazia alguns ajustes na planilha de contabilidade da escola em que trabalho quando a Tamara me falou que achava que estava tendo contrações e achava que estava na hora.
Já tínhamos tudo preparado para ir pra maternidade então enquanto ela foi tomar banho pra se arrumar pra ir eu juntei as bolsas e liguei pra tia dela que era quem nos levaria pra maternidade, a tia dela foi quem deu suporte durante todo o final da gravidez e fez questão de ir com a gente pra maternidade.
Chegamos na maternidade Alexander Flaming que fica em Marechal Hermes por volta das 2 da manha e a Tamara estava sentindo contrações constantes de 1 em 1 minuto, mas a duração delas ainda era curta. Ela mal foi examinada e mandaram ela de volta pra casa porque não estava em trabalho de parto ativo, que é quando já tem dilatação acima de 2cm e as contrações são mais longas e regulares.
Não ficamos seguro com o atendimento e decidimos ir pra Madureira pra maternidade Herculano Pinheiro, que era onde eu queria que a Lara nascesse originalmente porque conhecia a maternidade e tinha mais confiança em ter o parto lá.
Chegamos na Herculano em torno de 5 da manhã(o tempo entre o atendimento e liberação da Tamara na Flaming demorou quase 3horas), foi feito alguns exames, medida a dilatação e constado que ela realmente não estava em trabalho de parto ativo, mas a doutora indicou que tinhamos 2 opções, voltar pra casa e se as contrações permanecessem por mais de 2horas voltar a maternidade, ou tentar andar e subir e descer as escadas do patio da maternidade pra incentivar a dilatação e o inicio do trabalho de parto ativo e verificar de 2 em 2 horas a dilatação. Ficamos com a segunda opção e as 11horas da manhã a dilatação chegou a 2cm e durante o exame pra ver a dilatação a bolsa estourou e fomos encaminhados pra sala de parto.
De 11h até 18h foi a mesma coisa, vinha a contração e a Tamara gritava de dor durante alguns segundos e quando parava ela dormia. No inicio eu fiquei desesperado achando que ela estava desmaiando, mas ela mesma disse que só estava com sono e a enfermeira disse que era normal acontecer isso no inicio do parto para as mães que não dormiram bem e que isso era bom pra poupar energia pra quando a hora chegasse.
Durante todo o dia ela não conseguiu comer praticamente nada e eu acabei não comendo também e pouco depois das 18h a equipe foi checar a dilatação e estava completa com 10cm o que significa que a hora estava bem perto de chegar. Nesse momento era esperado que a Tamara já tivesse parado de dormir entre as contrações, mas mesmo depois da cabeça da Lara já ter aparecido ela continuou dormindo entre as contrações e só nos últimos 5minutos que ela não dormiu mais entre as contrações.
O parto definitivamente não é bonito, ver a Tamara sofrendo durante o processo não foi fácil e as preocupações constantes se tudo estava dando certo era angustiante. Mas o momento do nascimento é lindo e emocionante, ver pela primeira vez minha filha foi um dos momentos mais incríveis da minha vida!
Exatamente as 18:30 do dia 19 de abril de 2024 nasceu Lara e demos boas vindas ao amor mais puro que eu e Tamara já sentimos.
Vale destacar que fomos atendido de forma espetacular pela equipe de enfermeiras da maternidade e tivemos um anjo que não só nos atendeu bem, mas nos tranquilizou e explicou cada parte do processo com muita paciência e carinho durante todo o processo, e por coincidência(ou não) o nome dessa enfermeira que nos auxiliou em todo o processo era Thamara.

A maternidade
Lara nasceu numa sexta-feira e de acordo com os protocolos da maternidade em caso de parto normal a mãe e o bebê ficam ao menos 48h na maternidade para os primeiros exames, acompanhamento e a primeira vacina.
Não saímos do lado dela nem por 1 minuto enquanto ela estava lá e isso era uma recomendação da própria maternidade. No primeiro dia a Tamara ainda estava bem debilitada do parto e precisando de auxilio até mesmo pra se levantar pra ir no banheiro. A Lara teve dificuldades de conseguir puxar o leite no primeiro dia e precisamos do auxilio do banco de leite e de 2 doses de formula antes que ela conseguisse puxar o leite adequadamente.
No primeiro dia ainda estávamos muito perdidos, como segurar, como trocar as fraldas, como dar o primeiro banho... tudo era um desafio e por mais que eu tivesse visto MUITOS vídeos e "treinado" pra esses momentos o medo de fazer errado era uma constante.
Claro que tivemos erros, agasalhamos de menos, depois de mais, colocamos a fralda frouxa e vazou mas aprendemos rápido com os erros e no segundo dia tudo já parecia muito natural, como se tivéssemos sido programados pra tudo aquilo(e fomos mesmo).
Durante esse período em que estivemos na maternidade após o parto não sentimos o mesmo acolhimento que durante o parto, na verdade, dependia do turno em que estava. Tinha uma equipe muito boa e outra que tinha um atendimento péssimo. Mas no geral nossa experiencia foi boa.
Como tivemos a Lara na sexta-feira fomos liberados no domingo e levamos nossa filha pra casa. Segue abaixo algumas fotos na maternidade.

Curiosidades
A primeira curiosidade é que Lara nasceu MUITO parecida comigo quando bebê e tem uma foto dela com 1 dia que se parece muito com uma foto de quando tenho 1 semana e meu pai fez essa montagem ai em baixo com as 2 fotos.
A segunda curiosidade é que embora ela tenha nascido no dia 19 de abril que normalmente é do signo de Aries, mas em 2024 o sol entrou em touro as 11 da manhã do dia 19 de abril. Ou seja, o trabalho de parto começou exatamente na primeira hora de touro e ela nasceu poucas horas após o sol entrar em touro então mesmo ela tendo nascido em 19 de abril ela é Taurina. Abaixo um calendário astrológico de 2024 tirado do site Persoonare
A terceira e ultima curiosidade dessa publicação, é que pouco antes da Lara nascer em uma conversa com meu amigo @fmagalhaes falamos de uma ferramenta de inteligência artificial para criar músicas e na semana do nascimento da Lara decidi colocar uma letra e pedir para a ferramenta criar uma musica chama "Bem Vinda Lara". As primeiras versões ficaram bem bizarras, mas depois de um tempo estudando e testando consegui uma versão que gostei e vocês podem escutar nesse link abaixo e quem quiser pode testar o site pra fazer suas próprias musicas.

Hi guys, I hope you've missed me around here... After 2 long months of not being able to post, I'm here for a very special post! The presentation of my 2-month-old daughter, Lara...
In this post, which marks my return to activities at Hive, I'm not going to talk about what this experience has been like for me, I'm just going to focus on the birth and the period in the maternity ward. Soon I'll be bringing you much more about her and her 2 months of life so far, but this post will focus on the birth and the maternity period, and of course we'll have lots of photos!
So let's get down to business...
The birth
Let's start at the beginning! At around 2 a.m. on April 19, I was watching the series Bebe Rena while making some adjustments to the accounting spreadsheet at the school where I work when Tamara told me that she thought she was having contractions and that it was time.
We had everything ready to go to the maternity hospital, so while she went to take a shower to get ready to go, I gathered up the bags and called her aunt, who was the one who would be taking us to the maternity hospital. Her aunt was the one who supported us throughout the end of my pregnancy and made a point of going with us to the maternity hospital.
We arrived at the Alexander Flaming maternity hospital in Marechal Hermes at around 2am and Tamara was having constant contractions every 1 minute, but their duration was still short. She was barely examined and sent back home because she wasn't in active labor, which is when she is already more than 2cm dilated and the contractions are longer and more regular.
We weren't satisfied with the service and decided to go to Madureira to the Herculano Pinheiro maternity hospital, which was where I originally wanted Lara to be born because I knew the maternity hospital and had more confidence in giving birth there.
We arrived at Herculano around 5 a.m. (the time between Tamara being seen and released at Flaming took almost 3 hours), some tests were carried out, dilation was measured and it was found that she really wasn't in active labor, but the doctor indicated that we had 2 options, go home and if the contractions continued for more than 2 hours return to the maternity ward, or try to walk up and down the stairs in the maternity ward to encourage dilation and the start of active labor and check dilation every 2 hours. We took the second option and at 11am dilation reached 2cm and during the examination to check dilation the bag burst and we were sent to the delivery room.
From 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. it was the same, the contractions would come and Tamara would scream in pain for a few seconds and when they stopped she would go to sleep. At first I was desperate, thinking she was fainting, but she said she was just sleepy and the nurse said it was normal for this to happen at the beginning of labor for mothers who haven't slept well and that it was good to save energy for when the time came.
Throughout the day she didn't manage to eat practically anything and I ended up not eating either. Shortly after 6pm the team went to check the dilation and it was 10cm, which meant that the time was very close to arriving. At this point it was expected that Tamara would have stopped sleeping between contractions, but even after Lara's head had appeared she continued to sleep between contractions and it was only in the last 5 minutes that she didn't sleep between contractions.
Childbirth is definitely not pretty, watching Tamara suffer during the process wasn't easy and the constant worries about whether everything was going well was distressing. But the moment of birth is beautiful and exciting, seeing my daughter for the first time was one of the most incredible moments of my life!
At exactly 6:30 p.m. on April 19, 2024, Lara was born and we welcomed the purest love Tamara and I have ever felt.
It's worth mentioning that we were given spectacular care by the maternity ward's nursing team and we had an angel who not only attended to us well, but also reassured us and explained every part of the process with great patience and affection throughout the process, and by coincidence (or not) the name of this nurse who helped us throughout the process was Thamara.

The Hospital
Lara was born on a Friday and according to the maternity hospital's protocols, in the case of a normal birth, mother and baby stay at least 48 hours in the hospital for the first tests, follow-up and the first vaccine.
We didn't leave her side for even a minute while she was there and this was a recommendation from the hospital itself. On the first day, Tamara was still very weak from the birth and needed help even to get up to go to the toilet. Lara struggled to express milk on the first day and we needed help from the milk bank and two doses of formula before she could express properly.
On the first day we were still very lost, how to hold her, how to change her diapers, how to give her her first bath... everything was a challenge and as much as I had watched MANY videos and "trained" for these moments, the fear of doing it wrong was a constant.
Of course we made mistakes, we swaddled too little, then too much, we put on a loose diaper and it leaked, but we learned quickly from our mistakes and by the second day everything seemed very natural, as if we had been programmed for it all (and we really were).
During the time we were in the hospital after the birth, we didn't feel the same welcome as during the birth, in fact, it depended on the shift I was on. There were some very good staff and others who gave terrible care. But overall our experience was good.
As we had Lara on Friday, we were released on Sunday and took our daughter home. Below are some photos of the hospital.

Curiosities
The first curiosity is that Lara was born VERY similar to me as a baby and there's a photo of her when she was 1 day old that looks very similar to a photo of me when I was 1 week old and my dad made this montage below with the 2 photos.
The second curiosity is that although she was born on April 19, which is normally the sign of Aries, in 2024 the sun entered Taurus at 11 a.m. on April 19. In other words, labor began exactly at the first hour of Taurus and she was born a few hours after the sun entered Taurus, so even though she was born on April 19, she is Taurean. The third and final curiosity of this publication is that shortly before Lara was born, in a conversation with my friend @fmagalhaes, we talked about an artificial intelligence tool for creating songs and in the week of Lara's birth I decided to put in some lyrics and ask the tool to create a song called "Welcome Lara". The first versions were quite bizarre, but after some time studying and testing I came up with a version I liked and you can listen to it at the link below and anyone who wants to can try out the site to make their own songs.
