Time has a peculiar way of speeding up when we least expect it. It seems like only yesterday that Alexander, with his backpack bigger than he is, was walking through the door of elementary school. Now, at 16, he is about to close a significant chapter in his life: his last year of high school.

As a parent, I have witnessed his transformation. The afternoons of studying, the science projects that seemed impossible, the friendships that came and went, and the countless times I watched him fall down and get back up. Alexander has not only grown in stature, but in character and wisdom. He has learned that every mistake is a lesson and that perseverance is the key to success.

Pero en cada uno de esos momentos, hemos encontrado la oportunidad de enseñarle a Alexander valores como la integridad, la compasión y la determinación.

The countdown to reach this goal has begun. Each day that passes is another step closer to that moment when I will see my son cross the stage, receive his diploma and smile for the photo that will immortalize his achievement. I can't help but feel a mixture of emotions: joy to see him succeed, nostalgia for the moments that will never come back and, above all, gratitude for having had the privilege of accompanying him on this journey.
Parenting is an art and a challenge. There is no manual that prepares us for the sleepless nights, the worries that rob us of sleep or the difficult decisions we must make. But in each of those moments, we have found the opportunity to teach Alexander values such as integrity, compassion and determination.

Ahora, mientras observo a Alexander prepararse para su defensa de proyecto, veo reflejado en él no solo el conocimiento adquirido en los libros, sino también las lecciones de vida que hemos compartido. Now, as I watch Alexander prepare for his project defense, I see reflected in him not only the knowledge gained from books, but also the life lessons we have shared. His project is not just an academic requirement; it is a testament to his passion, his creativity and his commitment to the future he wants to build.
The graduation ceremony will be a day of celebration, but also a reminder that our work as parents is never done. Even if Alexander is ready to fly on his own, he will always have a safe place to come back to, a pair of listening ears and a heart full of unconditional love.

Estoy orgulloso de Alexander, no solo por sus logros académicos, sino por la persona en la que se ha convertido. Y mientras contamos los días para su graduación, sé que este es solo el comienzo de muchas más aventuras y éxitos que le esperan.

And so, as Alexander prepares to take the next step, I prepare to support him through each new stage, always with the certainty that the best is yet to come.
