Nothing compares to the excited feelings of a mother on their child's first day of school. Aren't we mommies?
Last Monday, classes started in the schools here in the Philippines and the following Monday the preschool classes started here in our place where my youngest son, Lucas, had his first day. A few days before this I became emotional, because I was working in the city and so I was far away from them, I couldn't help but cry because I felt sorry for my son that he didn't have a mom to take him to one of the most exciting parts of his life. I have hubby at home but he is working as well so he can only drop our kids at school and he can't stay too long because he needs also to be on time for work.
- My eldest son Carlo is already in grade two his class starts at 8 o'clock so should be in school around seven so he will be taken to school earlier than Lucas.
Thankfully A miracle happened Sunday evening when I was in tears waiting for my shift to start I realized that September 4th Monday will be a holiday in the US meaning we will not gonna have an operation. So then I decided that after shift I will go home just to witness my son Lucas's first day of school. Unfortunately, I did not expect that I would come up to this situation because when my eldest son Carlo had his preschool my job was just near home so there was no problem.
And that's it, I actually went home after my shift on Sunday and I got out around 5 o'clock in Monday morning so I left immediately. I have four hours to travel home from work, so I'm really tired because I haven't slept yet.

After four hours I arrived at my destination. Because my son's school is close to the highway, I didn't go home and went straight to his school. Outside, the father-in-law is waiting to pick up Lucas to go home but since I'm already here, I sent Dad home and told him that I'd be the one to take the child home.
Then after school, Lucas was so proud to show me his first star award from his teacher👏.

Sadly the next morning I still have time to take care for the two for school. I was able to dress up both and was able to be with Lucas in school in the morning until it finishes but in the afternoon I need to go back to the city for work. I need to wait for my next rest day for work to Go home again. It's really difficult but luckily both my sons have their grandparents to look over while both me and hubby is busy with work I just keep me updated by calling them every day.
For now the only thing that should be done is to be patient and strong. It's painful, but I really need to work because of necessity. I will just pray that the day will come when everything will be stable so that I can give all my time to them.
