A Day At Gumbya World!

How we doing Motherhood hope you're all having a wonderful end to the week, for us in Australia it is the middle of summer and with hot weather means pools and swimming! and a trip to Gumbuya World is the perfect way to spend a family day out and escape the heat.

It’s safe to say my kids had an absolute blast! This family friendly theme park located just an hour from Melbourne, combines wildlife, water slides and endless adventure making it a fantastic getaway for all ages.

My kids immediately ran toward the Oasis Springs water park which has quite the impressive splash zone for kids, rock pools and water slides. The standout feature was definitely the Lazy River. After a quick change into their swimsuits, they couldn’t wait to hop on the gentle, winding stream.

The Lazy River turned out to be the highlight of their day. Floating on their tubes, the kids loved drifting along the water with all the other kids and families and occasionally splashing each other in good fun. For me, it was a delight to watch them laugh and relax and have fun.

The sun was quite hot but the lazy river was a good cool down and made this a memorable and peaceful part of the visit.

After plenty of time at the water park we dried off and decided to explore the animal encounters that Gumbuya World is known for. Walking through the Wildlife Trail was like stepping into a mini zoo. The kids’ faces lit up as they spotted kangaroos lounging in the shade and emus walking around. They were particularly thrilled to see the dingoes and even got up close to a koalas.

The aviary was another favourite. With colourful parrots flitting about and the chance to feed them, my little ones were completely entertained. It was wonderful to see how curious and engaged they were with the animals.

Gumbuya World does an excellent job of creating interactive experiences that help kids learn about wildlife in a fun and accessible way.
