Today is the first day of the month of December and its our father's 58th birthday.
We prepared a simple celebration for him ,a simple dinner as well.Since I can't go home to celebrate with them ,I sent money worth $20 as a birthday gift for my father that money is from my husband's salary.
I and my siblings ,pledge a little amount for our father's birthday ,we know that he never experienced having a celebration back then ,he only experienced having a celebratiom when I and my siblings had a job.
So now ,we decided to have a simple dinner celebration for him it just only a simple celebration coz we are facing crisis thats why we only prepared a simple one for him.
I asked my siblings to sent a photos on me and I am happy seeing my father's face with a big and pretty smiles.
And I prepared a fried chicken for us since I can't celebrated with them.
What kind of father he is?
My father is strict one ,he wants us to live independent ,at our young age he thought us to fight in facing the real world .We came from a poor family thats why at our young age he thought us to work in farm.
He always said to us that we will study coz he don't have any wealth to give us ,he always reminds us to learn to work and fight for our daily life.
I'd still remember that he got mad if we don't help him at the farm ,he only wants to lear to live.
He is not a showy man ,his not sweet tp us but we know how mu h he loves us.He sacrificed a lot for us.He works hard to feed us though sometimes he forgot to rest.
His vitamins is coconut wine or tuba in our dialect ,after exhausted week from working ,his reliever is the coconut wine.But when we are still a kids ,many times he got home drunk,he drunk hardly and sometimes forgot to go home but nobody makes bad things with him coz he really a good person.
When I was studying highschool ,everytime they sell the coconut I will follow him to get the money or else it all be spend for the coconut wine and I am thankful to some store owner who keeps his money coz they thinking us his family .
But that things was change when we are already matured ,though he still drunk but not the same as before.Thats why we letting him to drunk after his exhausted day or week coz it relieve his tiredness.
He is now 58 but I am proud to say that he is still stong and still working in the farm ,he is the caretaker of our grandfather's small coconut farm and he is a caretaker of some ricefield.
Honestly ,I really wnated him to stop from working in the farm coz he getting old but many times he old us that being at home ,staying with no work makes him feels weak thats why he still working in the farm.
Before he had a small corn farm ,some potato and cassava plant but now maybe of his age he can't manage to plant some root crops .He is now focusing on the ricefield and the coconut farm our grabdfather from my mother side .
Life is'nt easy but i did'nt see that my father feels the tiredness even in his age he still working for our family.I am still proud of him no matter what the people say's about him ,no matter how the people judge him.
Imagine how hard the life is but he able to raised us their 9 children ,how amazing he is.
