Hello everyone, I hope you are well ☺️ Today I come to show you 4 activities that I did this week with my students ☺️ Telling stories to children is always magical. Working in a nursery is one of the most enriching and challenging experiences you can have. It also takes a lot of patience to have this profession, but there is nothing more rewarding. Every day we have the opportunity to teach minds, encouraging creativity, logical reasoning and above all the ability to dream. This week, I had the pleasure of sharing with the children the story of the Fosca fly, a captivating story that not only captured the attention of the little ones but also served as the basis for a series of educational and fun activities
The Fosca fly is the story of a fly that decided to build a house and decided to make a cake and a housewarming party and throughout the story some animals appeared, 6 animals appeared, with the fly there were a total of 7. Each animal provides a valuable lesson. The narrative is simple but rich in meaning, perfect for engaging children and stimulating their imagination.
Activity 1:
Cut and paste To begin exploring the story, we started a cut and paste activity. This activity not only helped children express their creativity but also allowed them to understand the elements of the story. We start by rereading parts of the story and discussing the different characters and scenes in the story. Children were encouraged to choose their favorite part of the story. All you needed for this activity were scissors and glue. Distributes materials ensuring that all children have access to the materials they need. The children cut out the animals from the story and then had to paste them in the order in which the animals appeared in the story. And I was very happy because they knew how to say it without needing my help.
Activity 2:
Mathematics with counting. This story offers immense opportunities to integrate mathematical concepts in a playful way. This activity resulted in counting and recognizing numbers. What we needed for this activity were just charcoal pencils and colored pencils. First we did the numbering in order, some still have difficulty doing the numbers, but everyone had to say the order We reviewed this activity again, put the animals in order and had to paint. They like to paint ☺️ after everyone finished their work, we talked as a group, checking if everyone had the numbers placed in order and we reinforced numerical concepts through examples.
Activity 3:
I decided to put the Fosca fly in large and several flies around it, I put the number 4 for them to train, which is a number they have more difficulty with. I placed several 4 for them to go over, I asked them to make groups of 4 flies and at the end I asked them to paint the flies. A fundamental skill for developing logical thinking and problem solving.
Activity 4:
Mathematics
This activity was also a math activity where we had to paint all the flies and then paint each line of flies and at the end circle the number of flies. They said oh this is super easy 🤣
Telling stories in kindergarten goes beyond the simple act of narrating. It is a powerful tool for children's cognitive, emotional and social development. The story of the Fosca fly not only provided moments of fun and learning, but also served as a starting point for activities that developed crucial skills in children.
The participation activity allowed them to express their creativity and reinforce their understanding of the story. The math activities helped to consolidate numerical and logical concepts in a practical and engaging way. Most importantly, all of these activities promoted collaboration, communication, and respect for the abilities of others.
Working in a nursery is a journey full of challenges and rewards. Seeing children involved in moving through activities, absorbing new information and applying it in creative ways is one of the greatest satisfactions we can have as teachers. The Fosca fly was just one of the many stories we shared, but the lessons and memories we created together will be rigorous

Trabalhar em uma creche é uma das experiências mais enriquecedoras e desafiadoras que você pode ter. Também é preciso muita paciência para ter essa profissão, mas não há nada mais gratificante. Todos os dias temos a oportunidade de ensinar mentes, incentivando a criatividade, o raciocínio lógico e acima de tudo a capacidade de sonhar. Esta semana tive o prazer de partilhar com as crianças a história da mosca Fosca, uma história cativante que não só captou a atenção dos mais pequenos como também serviu de base para uma série de atividades educativas e lúdicas
A mosca Fosca é a história de uma mosca que resolveu construir uma casa e decidiu fazer um bolo e uma festa de inauguração e ao longo da história apareceram alguns animais, apareceram 6 animais, com a mosca foram um total de 7. Cada animal fornece uma lição valiosa. A narrativa é simples mas rica em significado, perfeita para envolver as crianças e estimular a sua imaginação.
Atividade 1:
Recortar e colar Para começar a explorar a história, iniciamos uma atividade de recortar e colar. Esta atividade não só ajudou as crianças a expressar a sua criatividade, mas também permitiu-lhes compreender os elementos da história. Começamos relendo partes da história e discutindo os diferentes personagens e cenas da história. As crianças foram incentivadas a escolher sua parte favorita da história. Para esta atividade você só precisou de tesoura e cola. Distribui materiais garantindo que todas as crianças tenham acesso aos materiais de que necessitam. As crianças recortaram os animais da história e depois tiveram que colá-los na ordem em que os animais apareceram na história. E fiquei muito feliz porque eles souberam falar sem precisar da minha ajuda.
Atividade 2:
Matemática com contagem. Esta história oferece imensas oportunidades para integrar conceitos matemáticos de uma forma lúdica. Esta atividade resultou na contagem e reconhecimento de números. O que precisávamos para esta atividade eram apenas lápis de carvão e lápis de cor. Primeiro fizemos a numeração por ordem, alguns ainda têm dificuldade em fazer os números, mas todos tiveram que dizer a ordem Revimos novamente esta atividade, arrumamos os animais e tivemos que pintar. Eles gostam de pintar ☺️ depois que todos terminaram o trabalho, conversamos em grupo, verificando se todos estavam com os números ordenados e reforçamos os conceitos numéricos através de exemplos.
Atividade 3:
Resolvi colocar a mosca Fosca grande e várias moscas em volta dela, coloquei o número 4 para eles treinarem, que é um número que eles têm mais dificuldade. Coloquei várias 4 para eles repassarem, pedi que fizessem grupos de 4 moscas e no final pedi que pintassem as moscas. Uma habilidade fundamental para desenvolver o pensamento lógico e a resolução de problemas.
Atividade 4:
Matemática
Esta atividade também foi uma atividade matemática onde tivemos que pintar todas as moscas e depois pintar cada linha de moscas e no final circular o número de moscas. Eles disseram ah, isso é super fácil 🤣
Contar histórias na educação infantil vai além do simples ato de narrar. É uma ferramenta poderosa para o desenvolvimento cognitivo, emocional e social das crianças. A história da mosca Fosca não só proporcionou momentos de diversão e aprendizagem, como também serviu de ponto de partida para atividades que desenvolveram competências cruciais nas crianças.
A atividade de participação permitiu-lhes expressar a sua criatividade e reforçar a sua compreensão da história. As atividades de matemática ajudaram a consolidar conceitos numéricos e lógicos de forma prática e envolvente. Mais importante ainda, todas estas atividades promoveram a colaboração, a comunicação e o respeito pelas capacidades dos outros.
Trabalhar em uma creche é uma jornada cheia de desafios e recompensas. Ver as crianças envolvidas na movimentação das atividades, absorvendo novas informações e aplicando-as de forma criativa é uma das maiores satisfações que podemos ter como professores. A mosca Fosca foi apenas uma das muitas histórias que partilhámos, mas as lições e memórias que criamos juntos serão rigorosas
