Hello Hivers. I'm super excited to be a part of this great community. I'm new here and my name is Rejoice Tanko (resounding joy). I hope to connect, learn and showcase my knowledge.
I joined this great platform, Courtesy of my lovely neighbor @ginika, whom I'd say has become a friend and big sister.
I love to write. I discovered my love for writing in 2019 and that was because I got a nudge and encouragement from my good friend. That's a story for another day. Since then I've written a number of stories, including kids story books, and participated in a bookathon (book writing marathon). It's been great fun being a writer.

I am a wife, I got married to my lovely husband in May, 2023. (Fun fact: I actually had a crush on my husband since I was a teenager). Here we are now, many years later.
I'm a mother, I had my bundle of joy this year, 2024, a lovely baby girl. She's brought so much joy and goodness in my life and she's the reason why I feel like I must always strive to be better. Having my little princess has given me a sense of purpose in life and yes, I enjoy being a mother.
I love to cook! I love to try out new recipes, I love to experiment in the kitchen. The things that motivate me to love cooking are (1) the fact that I love to eat good food. (2) because I'm usually happy when people eat my food and say it's nice (I cook for the comments) and (3) because I get to go crazy in the kitchen. I see the kitchen as my oyster, therefore I create pearls in it. My favorite dish is white rice, served with tomato stew and fried fish.
I love to capture and document photos of nature, especially beautiful flowers. Even though I am not a professional photographer, I have used my smartphone to take lovely pictures of flowers. Sometimes I'm out, taking a walk with my friends and I just stop because I've seen beauty, and then I capture it. Hopefully very soon, I'd register to learn photography professionally because of my love for nature. I also look forward to sharing my photos here on hive,

I also love to make new friends online because I'm kind of an introvert, so I feel safer with online friends. I have friends I talk to online whom I've never met with and sometimes it feels like we're buddies from way back in real life. I also hope to connect with amazing people here.
I own a little start up where I sell foodstuff. Generally I love to do business. I like to impact young children, so I am a teacher. I love to sing! After this I'll share my story with regards to music. I am a minister of the gospel, and an economist.
My best moments are those ones I share with my family and friends.
This is basically who Rejoice is, I'm glad that I'm here and I'm looking forward to it a lot.
