There is only one word to classify the Danish series BORGEN and it is extraordinary.
I don't know why the NETFLIX algorithm suggestion to watch the BORGEN series was popping up so much for me. I admit that I love watching series from different countries and I have seen several from Denmark, so this may be one of those reasons.
I didn't know what the series was about so the first thing I did was to look up what it meant Borguen, and that's where I got more attention because I could already sense that it was a political drama.
In this scenario, there are 4 seasons that not only reflect the political development of the protagonist and her family relationship but how the media, journalism, the influence of social networks, and fake news in public opinion have changed.
But I must say that I was still having a hard time encouraging myself to watch the series; so a week ago I started watching it and today I just finished the last season; it did not disappoint me at all.
It is difficult to write and pronounce Danish, even so, I watched it in its original language (with subtitles 😁), as it allows me to connect with what it wants to convey.

No sé por qué me aparecía tanto la sugerencia del algoritmo de NETFLIX para ver la serie BORGEN. Reconozco que me encanta ver series de diferentes países y he visto varias de Dinamarca, así que esta puede ser una de esas razones.
No sabía de qué trataba la serie así que lo primero que hice fue buscar qué significaba Borguen, y ahí me llamo más la tención porque ya se intuía que era de un drama político.
En éste escenario se suceden 4 temporadas que no solo reflejan el desarrollo político de la protagonista y su relación familiar, sino cómo han cambiado los medios de comunicación, el periodismo, la influencia de las redes sociales y las fakenews en la opinión pública.
Pero debo decir que aún me estaba costando animarme a ver la serie; así que hace una semana comence a verla y hoy recien termine la última temporada; para nada me defraudo.
Es difícil escribir y pronunciar el danes, aún así la vi en su idioma original (con subtítulos 😁), ya que me permite conectar con lo que quiere transmitir.
Who is Birgitte Nyborg?

Birgitte Nyborg has left politics to become an international private consultant, but she is always consulted about the political situation in Denmark, which is not indifferent to her. In this season (and perhaps the last) we see Birgitte Nyborg as Minister of Foreign Affairs facing the problems and situations of her position with a maturity and a sharper exercise of politics. Each chapter of the different seasons touches on an "everyday" issue and sometimes not so much where they address mental health, child abuse, and prostitution, but touched in a very clever way to make the viewer question them.
Sidse Babett Knudsen is the actress who plays Birgitte Nyborg. Her characterization is excellent and in the development of the 4 seasons, she manages to show a different Birgitte that reflects the changes she is going through. The 4th season shows a woman transformed by power who is capable of betraying her principles.
Kasper Juul is played by Pilou Asbæk who is the intelligent and bold political advisor to the prime minister, and who shows in a few episodes such vulnerability and truthfulness that makes him indispensable in the development of BORGEN.
This is an understatement, you have to watch the series because of not only the politics but the human side of those who exercise it and its impact on the country and their loved ones.

Kasper Juul esta interpretado por Pilou Asbæk quien es el inteligente y audaz asesor político de la primera ministra, y que muestra en unos episodios tal vulnerabilidad y veracidad que lo hacen indispensable en el desarrollo de BORGEN.
Me quedo corta, realmente hay que ver la serie porque no solo el política sino el lado humano de quienes la ejercen y su impacto en el país y sus seres queridos.
