Bienvenido a esta breve reseña o más bien de esta pequeña crítica sobre una ni tan nueva mini serie que descubrí en Amazon prime. Todo porque estuve buscando algo nuevo que ver. Me gustan mucho las series que contengan algo de suspenso, detectivesco por así decirlo. No soy muy amante de series románticas o de drama. Me agrada más el tipo de series que te dejan con la intriga. Recuerdo cuando veía Lost y disfrutaba de sus primeras temporadas pero en esos primeros capítulos les juro, me levantaba de dónde estuviera viendo Lost con un grito de desesperación. Ya después la alargaron tanto que más bien sentía decepción.
Welcome to this brief review or rather of this little review of a not so new mini series I discovered on Amazon prime. All because I was looking for something new to watch. I really like series that contain some suspense, detective so to speak. I'm not much of a lover of romance or drama series. I like more the kind of series that leave you with intrigue. I remember when I used to watch Lost and I enjoyed its first seasons but in those first chapters I swear, I would get up from wherever I was watching Lost with a cry of despair. Later on, they made it so long that I felt more like a disappointment.
He visto muchas series que me han dejado de la misma manera. O sea, emocionado por ver lo que sucederá en el próximo capítulo. Por ejemplo, El caso Hartung o Ozark. Series muy distintas pero con historias que sin duda te atrapan. O como olvidar a Dark. Una serie de ciencia ficción que espero algún día disfrutar de una serie que supere por lo meno las mencionadas. Hasta ahora no he logrado coincidir con ella pero de seguro ya llegará.
I have seen many series that have left me in the same way. That is, excited to see what will happen in the next episode. For example, The Hartung Case or Ozark. Very different series but with stories that without a doubt grab you. Or how can I forget Dark. A science fiction series that I hope someday to enjoy a series that surpasses at least those mentioned. So far I have not managed to match it but it will surely come.
Como les dije de Lost, disfrutaba mucho de ella hasta que alargaron la historia llevando la serie a mi parecer a un total fracaso. Algo así sucede con esta ni tan nueva mini serie llamada Expatriadas. Considero que todo pudo quedar en un largometraje. A pesar de eso, es una producción que en sus primeros 4 capítulos me dejó con mucha emoción. Con una excelente trama que cala muy adentro de las emociones. Con una historia inquietante narrada desde diferentes ángulos. Eso me atrajo mucho, llegábamos a ver lo que pocos olvidamos, que son aquellas personas que por algún error pueden llegar hacer, victimarías. Y olvidamos que también son personas que sienten y que contienen sentimientos. Realmente todo iba de maravilla hasta qué.
As I told you about Lost, I enjoyed it a lot until they dragged out the storyline leading the series to a total failure in my opinion. Something like that happens with this not so new mini series called Expatriates. I think the whole thing could have been a feature film. In spite of that, it is a production that in its first 4 chapters left me with a lot of emotion. With an excellent plot that goes deep into the emotions. With a disturbing story told from different angles. That attracted me a lot, we got to see what few of us forget, which are those people who for some mistake can become victimized. And we forget that they are also people who feel and contain feelings. Really everything was going great until what.
Fue una mini serie de la que esperaba mucho más dado el hecho que se encontraban actores de alto calibre como la gran Nicole Kidman. Cabe destacar que hubo momentos muy bien diseñados, con actualizaciones y diálogos de altura. La producción debió exigir más a los escritores y es que dejaron muchos cabos sueltos. Sobre todo en la trama principal la cual es la desaparición de un niño y entiendo por Expatriado que es la experiencia de vivir y trabajar en un país extranjero. Entonces, ¿Qué tiene que ver el nombre con la historia principal? La verdad, no le veo ni pies ni cabeza a todo esto.
It was a mini-series from which I expected much more given the fact that there were high caliber actors like the great Nicole Kidman. It should be noted that there were some very well designed moments, with high level updates and dialogues. The production should have demanded more from the writers, as they left many loose ends. Especially in the main plot which is the disappearance of a child and I understand by Expatriate that it is the experience of living and working in a foreign country. So what does the name have to do with the main story? To tell you the truth, I don't see the point of it all.
Su final fue absolutamente decepcionante. No entendí el giro tan repentino de la historia, todo se convirtió en un desorden organizado. No podía entender como algo que empezó tan bien, pudo llegar a tener un final tan decepcionante. Ni las peores historia de amor han terminado de tal manera. En fin, no vengo acá a decirles que no la vean, todo lo contrario quisiera que alguien me explicara que fue lo que sucedió de verdad. Capaz como estaba tan cansado, no podía notar lo brillante de la serie. Si claro, sigan soñando ja ja ja... No pero de verdad, si me gustaría saber si su opinión es igual a la mía.
Its ending was absolutely disappointing. I didn't understand the sudden twist in the story, everything turned into an organized mess. I couldn't understand how something that started so well, could have such a disappointing ending. Not even the worst love stories have ended in such a way. Anyway, I don't come here to tell you not to watch it, on the contrary, I would like someone to explain to me what really happened. Maybe because I was so tired, I couldn't notice how brilliant the series was. Yeah sure, keep dreaming ha ha ha ha.... No, but really, I would like to know if your opinion is the same as mine.
In my humble opinion, if they wanted to show that the real expatriates are the maids, then they should not have generated so much uncertainty and intrigue with the lives of the millionaire protagonists.
