Choosing my favorite TV series might be a little bit difficult for me but there are two particular TV series that are close to my heart which is "Devious Maid" and "The originals". When I watched these two TV series it was super thrilling for me that I saved them on my hard drive to be never deleted and I have watched them over and over again a few times.
Devious Maid
Devious Maid is an American TV series with four seasons only which aired from 2013 to 2016. This series is a mixture of four different types of genres which are, comedy-drama, Romance, soap opera, and mystery. The series was created by Marc Cherry and produced by ABC studios with Eva Longoria as one of its executive producers. Devious Maid is a series that is based on a Mexican series called "Ellas son la alegría del hogar".
This series is about four Latina maids working for wealthy and powerful families in Beverly Hills. While working for them, these maids were caught in the messy lives of these wealthy families. The maids were exposed to the families' secrets, their perversions, and hidden crimes committed by them. The four maids' life and activities were also intertwined with the wealthy families' lives they worked for. In each season a mystery is solved and the villain is revealed at the end.
In each episode, there were lots of twists and suspense which builds up till the end of each season. When you watch an episode, you will be intrigued by how interesting the series is. One of my favorite characters in the series is Rosie, an illegal immigrant who works for the Westmore family and ended up getting married to Mr. Westmore! I love her character because she has a big heart, a witty mouth and she is cheeky.
Also, I love Zoila who works for Genevieve Delatour with her daughter Valentina. Her character depicts the full character of a single mother, who wants nothing but the best for her daughter and her major principle is not to be covetous which is one good moral lesson that was portrayed in her character.
Everything about this series was perfect, the wardrobe of the actors was spectacular! the setting and plot. Each episode is always full of drama and you end up having a good laugh at the end. I love the intro soundtrack. If you haven't watched it, please hurry and get started. For it will be an amazing experience for you.
The Originals
This series is an American fantasy and paranormal film which started airing from 2013 to 2018 with five seasons. It is also a spin-off from a TV series named Vampire Diaries. The plot of the series revolves around three siblings of the Mikaelson family, Klaus (a hybrid), Elijah, and Rebekah. The Mikaelson siblings are known as the 'The Originals because they are the first vampires to ever exist.
The series started off with the siblings returning to the French Quarter, New Orleans which was set in 1919. They had left the city before because of their father, a fierce vampire hunter, Mikael, who forcefully abandoned the French quarter they built. After they returned, they found out that Marcel, Klaus's former protégé had already taken over their French quarter.
During their return, Klaus had a one-night stand with a French quarter werewolf, Hayley. After their encounter, Klaus mysteriously became a father which was impossible because Vampire can't reproduce but was possible because of his werewolf nature. Afterward, the real story of the series began. With Hayley being pregnant with Klaus' child, it changed the entire siblings' life.
The Mikaelson siblings, having lived for so many years, had made so many enemies in their past life. As rumors of Klaus' baby got to their enemies, they all began to appear for a piece of flesh for all the Mikaelsons had put them through. As the Mikaelsons were dealing with their past, they also had to deal with the return of their parents, Esther (a powerful witch who made them into vampires) and Mikael (a vengeful vampire hunter). They believe that their children were not meant to exist and they decide to kill them to rectify their past mistakes but the siblings fought together for their survival.
This series is the best Paranormal (vampire) series I have watched. All the scenes were well planned out, the storyline is very intriguing and intense. The characters play their roles well and my favorite character is Klaus, the big bad hybrid and relentless character who would do just about anything to protect his family and those he loves. If you haven't seen this series, you are missing out.
