You will know when you lose

Human emotions are deeply related to desire,
Some people even call the fulfillment of desires happiness. Perhaps the desire that leads to human behavior can be understood as arousing emotions with memories stimulated by the senses involved in the body, and eventually transforming them into human behavior. In this way, the subject of sensation, emotion, and action closely influence each other through desire.

Perfect Sense (2011)

Director: David Mackenzie

Starring: Ewan McGregor, Eva Green, Connie Nielsen

The movie Perfect Sense shows the process of disappearing one after another, and makes us think about the meaning of the five senses and our lives today.

The scene that impressed me the most was the scene where the sense of smell and taste disappeared, where everyone expected that they would only look for fat and flour to survive, but people don't eat just to fill their stomachs.

Immediately after numbness, at first people eat a nutritious meal, but as time goes by, people realize that mealtime is not just for getting the nutrients and energy needed for physiological deficiency, and enjoy spending time with loved ones. The meaning of the opportunity to share time was a 'dinner' once again, and people gather at the restaurant again.

The chef, the main character here, tries to devise a new cooking method to restore the joy (taste) of life in a situation in which the sense of taste and smell are lost. The scene of devising the texture and putting a lot of effort into the plating to restore the 'pleasant table' gave me a shocking impression.

I thought that the movie contains the message that there are various ways to respond to situations, and that our lives can be created and lived as we want , rather than being left to be thrown down by external stimuli and trials .

The value of precious things is only known when you lose them. The current situation made me think again about what I want to tell my life.

I haven't watch this film yet, but the plot seems interesting to me. It will be a good opportunity to question our way of living. Thank you very much for your recommendation!

You're welcome, sis
