The first part of the movie taught me lessons. You can't just wake up and decide to become a minister. Real ministers train well in order to lead the people assigned to them.
Watching the part 2 yesterday, I paid close attention to the characters
From the first lady who met with Apostle Arome Osayi, talking about how desperate her husband was to become a pastor, I became more interested to see what would happen.
Then, the story of Daniel and his wife. It was very obvious that Daniel's motive was wrong from the beginning.
I mean, there's a difference between serving God faithfully and serving Him for selfish benefits.
Daniel measured himself with other members in the church and how he had trained many of them who now had their own ministries. What he failed to understand was that, when God puts you in a particular position, it is because He has trusted your ability and knows you can perform so well in that area.
So, let's take it like this - Daniel was called to raise others and send them to the field. He was like a teacher to them. That was his own calling - to build them till they mature.
But, for selfish reasons, he didn't see what God had placed in his hands.
For me, I take that position so dear because, there's joy in teaching and seeing your students excel
I was expecting that even as Daniel was not concerned about true service to God and was only being moved because he wanted to be popular, his wife would be prayerful. She knew her husband wasn't doing the right things but I never saw where she went on her knees to talk to God about it.
When the devil wants to finish a person, he uses different ways and tactics. First, he had studied the mind of Daniel and knew his motive. He then sent a demon possessed man. After that, he sent his agent, Kofi.
Imagine Kofi calling him and sending him money to join him in Ghana immediately. Imagine Daniel believing that mad man. Imagine the both of them - Daniel and his wife - not praying about it. He just flew to Ghana without thinking twice.
Then, another place where he could have ran back to his country was when the fake pastor, Kofi called him out and gave fake prophecies about him. That was a red card!
But, what did he do? Because of the amount of money Kofi sent to him, he was ready to worship the very ground on which he stepped on.
I'll keep saying that wives should be watchful and prayerful. After Daniel's wife watched everything on the television, I was surprised that she still traveled down to meet him, even after knowing that what her husband had entered was no longer a genuine ministry.
A prayerless wife opens door to the devil in her home. A senseless and prayerless husband contributes to destroying his home even before his very eyes.
Who said we can help God? That gospel was a turn off for me. Like, how did Daniel believe that he could help God? The same God that says He would raise stones to praise Him if humans couldn't? I think he totally forgot the scriptures. All that was in his mind was to prove to his pastor that he was better than him.
Daniel started to worship Kofi, instead of God. Daniel left where God had assigned him to be. Had it been he waited a bit longer, his testimony would have manifested. But, the flesh...
That is why as Christians, we should always be spiritually minded. Christianity is not a competition. Ministry is not a competition. What is your motive? Did God ask you to start that ministry?
Finally, when you discover something wrong in your home, don't run out to look for the one who caused the wrong. Stay back and learn from your mistakes. Make corrections.
Don't be overzealous for the wrong things. There's always a Miokukusheshe in every false ministry. Be watchful!
