Hello movie lovers! You may have noticed that I haven't been very active on Hive lately. There were many reasons for this, but we will talk about that later, today we will talk about the movie The White Tiger, which I watched on the recommendation of my friend @felixxx. We watched the movie together with @bemier and @pravesh0. Pravesh has already shared his thoughts and now it's my turn!
The White Tiger is a movie released in 2021. You can watch it on Netflix right now. The genre of the movie is Drama and Crime. If you ask me, the movie also contains Comedy elements. But you can decide for yourself when you watch it.
From here on, you will encounter spoilers, but don't worry, I won't share enough details to prevent you from watching the movie. The movie tells the story of how Balram transforms from a poor servant into an entrepreneur who starts his own business. When Balram was a small boy in the village, an inspector came to him and told him that there was a white tiger. The white tiger is a rare species with only one in each generation. He is obviously intelligent. But intelligence is not enough to get him out of his circumstances. He needs much more. He meets the young son of the landlord who visits the village every year and believes he can open a path for him. He tries very hard to become his driver and succeeds.
Of course, the first time he goes from the village to the city he experiences a big culture shock, but over time he gets used to it and even blackmails the other driver he works with to get ahead. Fast, huh? Ashok, the son of the landlord, Balram's master, has lived in America for many years and treats Balram very well. He doesn't let the other masters mistreat him. His wife Pinky does the same, even better than Ashok. One day on Balram's birthday Ashok and Pinky get very drunk. Pinky wants to drive the car and something very bad happens because she is drunk. They have an accident and a child dies. Balram kidnaps them and brings them home. A few days later they call Balram and ask him to take the blame and he does so without hesitation, but he is no longer his old cheerful self. Because at any moment he could go to jail and that's a terrible thing, as you can imagine.
Time passes and Balram continues to live on edge. Then Pinky comes and tells him that they have solved the problem by bribing the cops and Balram is incredibly relieved. Later on, there is a problem between Pinky and his father-in-law because Pinky has grown up in America and is very comfortable. His father-in-law is a very traditional man and doesn't even want Pinky to speak when the men are talking. So problems arise and Pinky leaves the country one night. From then on Ashok gets depressed and just starts to be lazy and play games. Balram helps Ashok as a loyal servant but now he realizes everything. He knows that he cannot work like this for the rest of his life and is looking for a solution. After a long time he finds the solution in killing his master Ashok and kills him, but now there is a much bigger problem. He has killed a member of one of India's biggest families and is now a wanted criminal. Do you think he will be able to escape? What path will he take? His master knows where Balram's family is. What will be the fate of this family? You can watch the movie to find out.
The lesson of the movie is that if you keep chasing your dreams and if you try hard enough, you can succeed even in a country like India where the class gap is very deep, but you have to be very assertive. Maybe 1 or 2 opportunities will come your way in your lifetime. You have to make the most of it. Balram even sacrificed his family for this opportunity, could you do the same? Honestly I couldn't, but his family only listens to his grandmother and if it was up to her, Balram should not leave the village and only take care of her. As for the acting, I thought it was all average and there was no one who stood out. Balram might be the best. I think the movie deserves 7 out of 10 points.
As for the ridiculous scenes in the movie, I can think of only one scene. After Balram kills his master, he tells his subordinates that it might be good for them to kill their master. Dude, do you realize that you are their master? Oh one more thing, Balram's smile. That smile really haunted my dreams for several nights. The creepiest smile in the world. I've said this a few times while watching the movie, but I really feel weird when I see Balram laughing.

Dürüst olmak gerekirse ben yapamazdım ama ailesi sadece büyükannesinin sözünü dinliyor ve ona kalsa Balram köyden ayrılmamalı ve sadece onunla ilgilenmeliydi. Oyunculuklara gelecek olursak bence hepsi ortalama seviyedeydi ve öne çıkan biri yoktu. Balram en iyisi olabilir. Filmin puan olarak 10 üzerinden 7 puanı hak ettiğini düşünüyorum.
Filmdeki saçma sahnelere gelecek olursak aklıma tek bir sahne geliyor. Balram efendisini öldürdükten sonra onun emrinde çalışan insanlara efendilerini öldürmelerinin iyi olabileceğini söylüyor. Bunu film izlerken de birkaç defa söyledim ama gerçekten Balram'ı gülerken gördüğümde kendimi garip hissediyorum.
