I haven't been watching alot of movies recently infact,the last movie I watched was code 8 part 2 and I really enjoyed watching it. I was bored and was just searching for a movie to watch ,when I came across the movie " The island " and I took it upon myself to download it from a site called "Netnaija". What made me even decide to watch the movie, was first because it was an action movie, and because I saw the popular actor Micheal jai white was in the movie as he is someone who I loved his acting after watching a military movie called "Come out fighting".
The island is a (2023) movie about an LAPD police officer named "mark" that had to return to the island where he grew up,to meet his family following the death of his brother . He buried his brother and decided to find out what really killed him . He made findings and eventually found out that a man in charge of a corrupt tycoon on the island killed his brother who was working as a bartender for him. The gang leader has been terrorising their island ,taken over the all the important things and has also killed alot of people. With the help of a policeman on the island, his divorced wife ,his friends on the island and his police mates ,he was eventually able to take the gang down and killed their leader at the end.
The most painful scene for me was when the gang killed the policeman "Nate" that was helping "mark". He tried and made many efforts just to make sure mark get justice for his brother, but he was eventually killed the most painful way.
My favourite scene was when micheal jai white eventually killed the gang leader at the end .
He killed him the exact way the gang leader killed his brother. I promise you I was the happiest man on earth at this moment , i was very happy when he was killed,imagine killing someone just because they mistakenly poured whine on your guest.

This is one of the best movies i have watched this year, and I'll rate it an 8 out of 10. I was really impressed by the bravery of mark,despite the fact that he was aware this gang leader had alot of connections and was very dangerous he still faced him and made sure he didn't back down until he killed him.
I'll advice you to watch this movie it is not to long and it is very interesting. I promise you won't regret watching. However, you might not watch if you don't like blood shed because there is alot of blood shed in this movie.
