I got to know about the movie from a friend some years ago while still in secondary school, he gave me just one episode of the movie because I wanted to check at first if the move is worth watching and behold I find myself watching the entire season one of the movie but as they say everything has its disadvantage and the only and very big disadvantage the movie peripheral has is that the movie has not been completed and when the next season is coming is not known to anyone.

The Peripheral as a movie originated from an acclaimed novel by William Gibson, "The Peripheral" movie adaptation delivers a mind-bending journey through parallel worlds and high-tech intrigue. The movie immerses viewers in an imaginary future where technology blurs the lines between reality and virtuality.

The story follows Flynne Fisher, a young woman living in a rural American town, who stumbles upon a dark conspiracy while beta-testing a virtual reality game. As she delves deeper into the mystery, Flynne becomes entangled with Wilf Netherton, a publicist from a distant future, and discovers the existence of multiple timelines known as "peripherals."

The movie masterfully captures the intricate world-building and complex narrative of Gibson's novel. The visual effects and production design bring to life the gritty realism of Flynne's world juxtaposed with the sleek futurism of Wilf's era. From the neon-lit streets of a cyberpunk city to the eerie landscapes of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, each setting is richly detailed and immersive.

Chloe Grace Moretz delivers a standout performance as Flynne, portraying her as a resilient and resourceful protagonist caught in a web of intrigue. She brings depth to the role of Wilf, capturing his world-weary cynicism and hidden vulnerabilities. The chemistry between the two leads drives the narrative forward, as they navigate the complexities of time travel and corporate intelligence.

"The Peripheral" delves into thought-provoking themes such as the impact of technology on society, the nature of identity, and the consequences of unchecked power. The movie raises questions about the ethics of surveillance, the commodification of reality, and the fragility of human connection in an increasingly digitized world.

While the plot can be convoluted at times, with multiple timelines and characters to keep track of, the film rewards attentive viewers with its intricately woven narrative threads and surprising twists. It successfully captures the essence of Gibson's cyberpunk vision, blending elements of science fiction, thriller, and social commentary into a compelling cinematic experience.

Overall, "The Peripheral" is a thought-provoking and visually stunning adaptation that will appeal to fans of the novel and newcomers alike. With its captivating story, strong performances, and thought-provoking themes, it cements itself as a standout entry in the science-fiction genre.

Rating this movie I will be giving it ★★★★☆ (4/5), do well to watch and give your rating of this great movie.
