Hello movie lovers. It's not too late for me to wish you all a Happy New Year. Last night, it was a Saturday night where I took an early rest in my room while searching for a movie to watch. I always check the new release section whenever I open Netflix, and I saw the movie "Hi Papa in Hindi" displayed on my TV screen. (It's also called Hi Nanna in Telegu)
This story is about Viraj (Nani), a single father who also works as a photographer. He has a daughter named Mahi (Kaira Khanna), who is just 6 years old and incredibly adorable but has health issues with her lungs.
Mahi always asks Viraj about her mother, and she repeatedly asks. Viraj always ignores his daughter's question, which causes Mahi to feel upset and run away. However, Mahi gets involved in an accident, and it is Yashna (Mrunal Thakur) who helps her.
Finally, the appearance of Yashna changes everything, and from there, the story in this movie becomes even more intriguing. One by one, the past memories between Viraj and Yashna are retold. It reveals who Yashna is and how her relationship with Mahi becomes close.
I won't spoil the rest of the story, and you should watch it for yourself on Netflix. It's a story full of joy and sorrow. Make sure to have plenty of tissues ready if you're the type who gets easily touched like me. Hahaha...
For me, the story initially started a bit slow, but as each character appeared one by one, it became more and more interesting. The plot about how their love story begins, how they have a child, and how they end up being separated is captivating.
This is a story about family and romance. And I give this movie a rating of 4 out of 5. You won't regret watching it. For Bollywood movie lovers, you can watch it on Netflix. Thank you for taking the time to read my movie review today. I hope you all have a joyful Sunday.
