I am very much new to this community; I came across the community few days ago and the whole setup really interests me because watch movies a lot at the moment and I thought it would be a bad idea to share my views and thoughts on some of them.
Firstly, I'm a kind of person who loves to see and understand all that's in a movie at once because I find it quite difficult to see a movie twice, I would rather rewind as many times as possible in order to understand better but I've come to learn that one can't see or hear it all on the first watch; so you have to come back to it to seek more understanding!
I am actually a fan of cartoons and animation movies but I haven't taken time to see much of them as I find their productions more complex which makes me believe that I personally have to be in a good mood to see them if I truly want to enjoy and understand them at all.
I saw this cartoon recently and not until I finished with it, I never knew it would one that I would appreciate this much.
Although the cartoon has a simple and nostalgic storyline but for me, the simplicity made me love it the more. The characters were quite minimal and it was easier for me to catch up with all their actions.
Mulan the main character is a young girl whose father was a soldier and due to the fact that he doesn't have a son to take up his legacy in the army, his daughter Mulan decided to disguise as a male so she could join the army and make her family name great again.
The movie all started like a war story but trust me, it's less war and more of something more pleasant to the heart; in other words, a love story every teenage kid would love to watch or listen to.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE MOVIE!
Like I said early, it's a cartoon with simple casting and it has a duration of about one hour, forty minutes. I think the movie would catch the interest of kids more compare to having adults to watch it; at some point an adult mind might find it easy to predict the end of the movie even before finishing the first thirty minutes of it.
One more reason why I appreciate the movie more is due to the fact that I am an artist and it helps me to a form of art that could inspire me as a creative than watching a real human being movie.
For people who are more emotional and cherish fairy tales a lot, I think this movie would have them smile for a while due to its Happy ending effect but on the other hand, people who are quite too serious might find the movie as a waste of time; myself, I am somewhere in between because a lot of people around me find it so easy to say that I am a very serious person but when they come even more closer, they get to say, I'm a very playful person! 😂
I decided not to go too deep into the whole story in other not to make the movie less interesting while you're watching it but mind you, I've made my own thoughts and observations clear to you; perhaps you do have a question before or after seeing the movie, you can always reach me through a comment below. Thank you!
