The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a 2008 film, which depicts the drama that many people lived just for being Jewish. This film highlights the unfair mistreatment and the possible events that people of that time (during the Second World War) had to live through. When I started watching it for the first time I found it interesting, but I didn't know what it was about.
It shows the story of a family that has to move home, because the father receives another position, the decision was taken just because. According to the fatherland, without recognizing what this decision would entail. In our life we make decisions that we do not know at first hand what they will lead to or what the outcome will be, but our life revolves around making decisions, whether they are right or wrong.

While living in the new home, Bruno, who is a very curious child, observes that there is a farm nearby, that is what he thinks, far from reality. That farm is nothing more than a Nazi concentration camp where people are mistreated to the point of extermination in rooms with gas chambers. Ignoring Bruno what was happening in that place, he escapes to observe like any curious child, there he befriends Shmuel who is a Jewish boy.
Bruno's father, a Nazi officer who fights for the fatherland, and the mother, a woman who shows a different aptitude than her husband, but still does not manage in a short time to avoid the misfortune that will befall her family. Submission is important, but when it comes to putting the life of the family at risk is where we must act as soon as possible.
This situation led me to think about the number of children who, because of their innate curiosity, have suffered serious consequences and that the responsibility lies with the parents. Maybe we deny that it won't happen or won't happen. But, I believe that as parents, we must be attentive to our little ones, because they are still defenseless against the mentality of many cruel people.

Meanwhile, in this film, these children are unaware of each other's lives and only enjoy a few moments of play. And in the case of Bruno, he refuses to believe that his new friend is his enemy.

Quizás puede que hayan personas que no les guste esta película, pero particularmente me ha dejado a parte de mi corazón entristecido, también como se deben sentir las personas que sufre por culpa de las injusticias y las mala decisiones de los demás. No subestimar la inocencia de los niños porque pueden también ser víctimas y dejarles una huella en su historia de vida. Estar al pendiente de las actitudes de mi hija a qué no desarrolle aptitudes de discriminación hacia ninguna persona.
Las desiciones que tomamos las personas adultas, pueden perjudicar a muchos inocentes, incluyendo a nuestros seres queridos.
