The other day I was on TikTok and I came across a clip from a movie that looked pretty interesting and I was lucky enough to find it available on YouTube, I guess it's because it's pretty old, so I assume many of you have already seen it or maybe not. To start off when I saw the episode there was a man offering an umbrella to a girl so she wouldn't get wet, then the girl gets on the bus and later the same guy is with a bunch of people in a living room watching TV and when a news report comes on the man stays to watch all the scenes and when he saw the same umbrella in the crime scene everyone quickly went out to look for something. From the scene I assumed they moved to look for the girl, but the episode ended there, then I saw the name and it caused even more interest in me to go and watch it.

The gangster, the policeman and the devil is apparently a film inspired by real events but with modifications in scenes, characters and places.
It all starts with a murderer who apparently has no contemplation when it comes to choosing his victims, although at first the policeman Jung had some suspicion that it was a mobster, which was something impossible to touch because his boss, the police manager worked for that character.
The story has a twist when the mob boss Dong soo is attacked by the assassin, who had intentions to kill him, but did not succeed because a confrontation between the two ensued, causing him to get hurt as well. Although the mobster sent his people to locate him, he was unsuccessful, as was the policeman, who was determined to find the person in order to close the case.
In view of the fact that the police department would not support Jung's investigation and that Dong Soo would be the only survivor with the possibility of recognizing the identity of the man who tried to kill him, which leads him to the hospital room to present him with the proposal of joining forces to find the killer, although at first Dong Soo did not have the slightest idea of doing so, he has no choice but to collaborate with the police but under his conditions.
There is a scene where Jung the cop gets out of his partner's car to enter a clandestine establishment making a ruckus that in principle thought that from there he would solve some crime or get some clue, but it turns out that all that was just to find someone to take him to the scene of the crime which I saw as something exaggerated. The other thing is that it was evident that this was his first serious case or so they make it seem because there was a moment when he was with Dong Soo in a place where they were attacked and at the end that all the "bad guys" died, Jung was shocked to see how they died and I think he was even a little disturbed by the scene. Even later they attend a case to make a rescue that was very obvious the inexperience they had.
However, and I think it was the scene I liked the most, where Jung then negotiates with Dong Soo to appear in court to testify against the murderer and what at first seemed like betrayal, then became a complicity in which both would benefit.
Something that happened to me is that it was difficult to identify who were the cops and who were the ones working for the mobster, but I can tell you that the fights that were presented there, the intimidation and a little bit of suspense that I could see were good and gave an elegant touch to the movie. I give it a score of 7/10 and if you have already seen it I would like you to comment on what you thought?
