About Time (2013) | Movie review

Today, I would like to talk about a movie I have watches so many times, and would probably watch it a few more times, though it is an old movie, I still love watching it on the weekends.

About Time is the title of this movie about a boy (Tim, the main character) who discovers he can travel in time. When Tim turned 21, his father revealed to him that men in their family have are able to travel in time (though it was later revealed women can do so too but that's not the point). It is a really nice movie to watch, given the fact that I love science fiction and romantic comedies and this just so happens to be a perfect blend of the two, it's very heartwarming and entertaining to me.

In general I love romantic comedies and science fiction movies (separately), but there's just something about this movie that makes me want to keep watching it over and over again.

Now, back to the review :).

Tim finds out that he is able to travel in time at the age of 21, and the focus of the film is basically everything that happens in the life of Tim from that point forward, though with his new found abilities, he certainly cannot change history, he can always go back and fix little mistakes he made in his everyday life. And that's just what he did.... by trying to get a girlfriend, unfortunately for him, 'all the time travel in the world cannot make someone love you

Later on in the movie, he goes on to become a lawyer and move into the big city, where he finally finds love. (though he had to correct a few of his 'messups' using his powers haha) and they do get married in the end.

Personally, I'd give this movie by Richard Curtis a 10/10 for being such a masterpiece :)
