DJ Vinnie – Final version

Hello dear friends, today I would like to describe my journey in music, being a DJ at parties and events, how it all started and how I came to be DJ Vinnie! Follow me on this adventure.

In 1997 and 1998, we often went to Rio Branco, the capital of Acre, because we had many meetings with the Forests' Government, and we were producing events and fashion shows with Couro Vegetal da Amazônia/Treetap and Será O Benedicto brand from São Paulo.

I became very close to the economist, environmentalist, and DJ Dande Tavares during this period.

Dande invited me to play with him and DJÂngela, we performed together, the 3 of us and also Malu, the owner of Amerindia club, the place where we made the Event.

The party called: Âmbar Café - galactic brothers show. It was so successfully on the 1st day, that we had to repeat it for two more days!

We stay for one whole week at the first pages of the local newspapers! It was so, so cool those 3 nights!

I remained eternally very good friends with Dande.

After the Âmbar Café party, I played in many places as a DJ, in São Paulo once and specially in Rio de Janeiro, as in the photos below:

Imperador Galvez Hotel, Fashion Show Amazon Life and Será o Benedicto from São Paulo.

Tribes Pizza place in Santa Teresa, Feira da Glória, La Bicyclette in Horto, the birthday of the singer and composer Tadeu Mathias in Lapa, and Pachamama - Cinema de Fronteira (the Frontiers Film Festival), the most important film festival in the northern region.

DJ Dande, Myself and Francisco Ashaninka at Cavalera & Yawanawá People at Fashion Mall Shopping!

Olá! Que bom que gostou! Sempre toquei em festas, eventos e bares e restaurantes. Nunca toquei em festas de salão. Toco mais um estilo LowFi, e antigos e atuais pops, rocks e eletrônicos, Moby, the Strokes, Depeche Mode, The Cure, CaKe, Nouvelle Vague, Madonna, Gorillaz, 2Pac, Snoopie Dog, com raps suaves, de Emicida, Orishas, Rapin Hood, 3030, Black Allien, Claudinho e Bochecha, Rappa, MVBill, Poesia Acústica, e pérolas antigas ou não, Queen, de Elvis Presley, nossa MPB, Ben Jor, Caetano, Gil, carlinhos Nrown, Lulu Santos, Novos Baianos, Gal, etc e TB coisas bem atuais, Gilsons, Felipe Ret, DuBrazilis, Criolo, mas meu estilo não é pista de dança, é mais essa onda LowFi mesmo, que fica entre o Lounge, sala de estar e a pista, é para dançar, mas não é a pista principal, música para curtir e fluir... Hehehe
