The price of Bitcoin witnessed a sharp decline over the past 12 hours, as the price of Bitcoin first fell from $67,000 to $65,500, before falling again to reach less than $64,000, which is the lowest price level for Bitcoin this week.

Alternative digital currencies also witnessed significant declines, including significant losses in the prices of:

ETH, DOGE, TON, AVAX, LINK, and many other altcoins.

Bitcoin price fell below $65,000:
Since last weekend's volatile weekend when Bitcoin fell to $63,000, the coin has posted surprising gains, with the price surpassing $68,400 for the first time in more than a month after President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 election race.

Despite the ongoing volatility, Bitcoin has mostly stayed above the $67,000 level without a serious attempt to reach the desired $70,000 level.

Currently, Bitcoin is trading at over $64,000, but its market value has fallen to less than $1.270 trillion.

However, Bitcoin's dominance over altcoins remains just above 52%.

While the total market value of the crypto market is estimated at 2.41 trillion dollars, meaning that it has decreased by more than 100 billion dollars compared to what it was hours ago.
