It's Leo Power Up Day ! Also, I'm making this a belated #SaturdaySavers update post because I was away over the weekend.
I went to the first Napoleonic re-enactment event I'd done in years (actually, it turns out, 20 years...). I'd post photos, but I didn't take any, I was far too busy and we had to keep it authentic which meant no mobile phones. A friend came to spectate, and hopefully he'll send the photos he took in due course.
In the meantime, this will be a short post, because I'm totally exhausted and still got a musket to clean....

Here's my table of progress for the week;
A Few Thoughts On Last Week's Progress
I think the main factors influencing last week were the first signs of HIVE starting the long, slow climb back to a decent price, combined with the dollar falling in value against the British Pound.
In one week, the US Dollar went from $1.28 to the pound to $1.30. That's only around 1.5%, but it means that my HBD drops in value by around £23.00. It's not the end of the world, but concerning if the trend continues (and a good reason why stablecoins shouldn't be pegged to the US dollar !)
In better news, this week was the one where I went over 100% of my LEO target for the year. I'm not going to adjust the target, I'm just going to see how much over it I can get by the end of the year. It's especially nice that this happened on LPUD !
I've also managed to get a figure for my SBI's, and I reckon I'll tip over 100% of target next week.
Posts are slightly down, but that's not a surprise after a week where I was frantically trying to get everything ready for the event at the weekend. I'm impressed with myself at how many posts I was still able to make, and one or two of them are ones where I was particularly pleased at the quality.
The only issue is that I'm building up a real backlog of creative writing posts which feel like there's more of the story to be told, in some cases a lot more. I'm starting to contemplate the idea of dedicating more time to them and, instead of just adding them as posts, actually self-publish them as novellas or books of short stories (probably just as e-books for Kindle or similar in the first instance). What do you think - am I crazy, or could this be a viable additional revenue stream ?
So that was how my week and LPUD went - how was yours ?
If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.
If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.
I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
